Moosend pricing and review
Moosend is email marketing and automation software for small businesses and online stores, priced by subscriber count with unlimited sends, and part of Constant Contact since 2025.
Moosend at a glance
Reachkit makes a cold email tool, which does a different job from Moosend’s campaigns to opted-in subscribers. Prices were checked in October 2026 on Moosend’s pages, or credited to the review site that read them.

Moosend pricing
Moosend pricing starts at $9 a month for 500 subscribers on Pro, and Pro sends unlimited email, so list size alone sets the price. Moosend’s pricing page shows Pro prices only on a slider, so the tiers below are that slider as read by EmailVendorSelection, Tooltester, WhichMailer and Email Software Insights in 2026. Moosend’s own blog quotes the same $9.
| Subscribers | Billed monthly | Billed yearly, per month |
|---|---|---|
| 500 | $9 | $7 |
| 1,000 | $16 | $13 |
| 5,000 | $48 | $38 |
| 10,000 | $88 | $70 |
| 25,000 | $160 | $128 |
| 50,000 | $315 | $252 |
| 1,000,000 | $5,840 | $4,672 |
Paying every six months takes 15% off and yearly 20%. Nonprofits get 25% off, which can stack with the yearly discount. Taxes come on top.
Above Pro. Pro includes 5 team members. More seats, a dedicated IP, transactional email and SSO cost extra: Moosend+ adds the ones you pick and Enterprise includes them (the dedicated IP is optional), both at quoted prices.
Credits instead of a plan. Packs run from $350 for 350,000 emails to $1,000 for 1,000,000, one credit per email, and they never expire.
What a typical setup costs (my math): a weekly newsletter to 1,000 subscribers is $16 a month, or $13 billed yearly. Mailing 5,000 people daily is still $48. A shop mailing 20,000 contacts four times a year (80,000 emails) pays less with one $350 credit pack than with Pro at $160 a month (the 25,000 tier).
What Moosend does
Moosend sends campaigns and automated flows to people who signed up to hear from you. Subscribers arrive through its forms and landing pages, an integration or a CSV or Excel import, and you segment them and send from a drag-and-drop editor with 130+ templates, A/B tests and live reports. WooCommerce stores get abandoned-cart and product-recommendation emails, Magento stores product recommendations, and an AI Writer drafts copy.
How the mail goes out. Moosend sends from its own shared servers, with a dedicated IP as a paid add-on, and offers an SMTP server for app email. It doesn’t host or warm inboxes; replies land in your own mailbox.
Opted-in lists only. Moosend’s acceptable use policy bans purchased, third-party and scraped lists. Its ceilings are 3% hard bounces, 0.1% spam complaints and 1% unsubscribes, and accounts above them may be suspended “with or without notice and without refund”.
Integrations. Moosend lists 82 integrations, such as Salesforce, WordPress and WooCommerce natively and HubSpot through Zapier, plus a REST API. I found no official MCP server; third parties such as Composio offer one.
Who runs it. Constant Contact bought Moosend from Sitecore in June 2025, and Moosend still powers Sitecore Send.
Moosend strengths and drawbacks
Strengths
- Low price with no send cap. $48 covers 5,000 subscribers with unlimited sends. EmailVendorSelection’s review calls it “budget-friendly”.
- Easy to pick up. G2’s review summary says users consistently praise ease of use and price; Capterra reviewers score ease of use 4.5 (per search listings).
- Credits that don’t expire. Stores that mail a few times a year can skip the subscription.
- Automation on the first tier. Workflows, landing pages, forms and cart-abandonment flows come with Pro.
Drawbacks
- Billing terms worth reading. Moosend’s terms make fees non-refundable and renew subscriptions automatically unless you give written notice at least 60 days before the term ends. Its FAQ also describes a cancel button that takes effect at the end of the paid term; neither page says which governs a renewal.
- Prices that take digging. Pro prices appear only in a slider, one list size at a time, and add-ons and extra seats are quoted.
- Gaps. Moosend’s FAQ says there’s no two-factor login. Its homepage lists support as 24/5 by email and chat, and points to Constant Contact for SMS, which Moosend itself doesn’t offer.
What Moosend users say
Moosend’s ratings depend on the site. It holds 2.9 out of 5 on Trustpilot from 85 reviews as of October 2026, with 46% five-star and 48% one-star. Search listings show 4.6 on G2 from 744 reviews and 4.6 on Capterra from 195.
G2 and Capterra reviewers credit ease of use, price and support, and repeat two cons: dated templates and basic reporting. Happy Trustpilot reviewers praise support (“Customer Service is IMPECCABLE!”, February 2026), and some name the agent who helped them.
The one-star side is mostly billing. Four of the eight newest Trustpilot reviews are about auto-renewals, refused refunds or charges the reviewer didn’t expect, such as “I’ve been billed for another year because the cancellation didn’t go through on their end” (February 2026). Only 9 reviews arrived in the past year, so it’s a small sample.
Who Moosend is for
Moosend fits a small business, online store or nonprofit that mails its own subscribers often and wants the bill tied to list size only.
Look elsewhere if you need SMS in the same account, weekend support or two-factor login. If you pay for a year up front, I’d mark the renewal date in your calendar 60 days early. And if your contacts came from a database or a scrape, Moosend’s policy rules them out: prospect outreach belongs on separate domains and inboxes, away from your newsletter (how I set that up).
Alternatives to Moosend
- MailerLite: from $12 a month for 500 subscribers, with a free plan for 250. See the MailerLite profile.
- Mailchimp: from $13 a month for 500 contacts, sends capped at 10 times the contact tier. See the Mailchimp profile.
- Brevo: priced by emails sent, not subscribers, from $9 a month for 5,000 emails. See the Brevo profile.
- Constant Contact: Moosend’s parent, from $12 a month, adding SMS, events and phone support. See the Constant Contact profile.
- Klaviyo: for stores that segment on order data, from $20 a month for 500 active profiles. See the Klaviyo profile.
- Reachkit (our product): for writing to prospects who never subscribed, which Moosend’s policy forbids, while Moosend keeps your newsletter. Reachkit finds verified leads (1,000 credits a month on the $39 Growth plan), buys lookalike domains at $15 a year, creates Google or Microsoft inboxes on them at $5 a month each, warms them and gathers every reply in one Unibox.
Moosend: common questions
How much does Moosend cost?
Moosend Pro costs $9 a month for 500 subscribers, $16 for 1,000 and $48 for 5,000, with unlimited sends, by review sites' reading of its price slider (checked October 2026). Yearly billing takes 20% off. Moosend+ and Enterprise are quoted, and credit packs start at $350 for 350,000 emails.
Does Moosend have a free plan?
No. Moosend dropped its free plan in August 2022, according to Tooltester. It offers a 30-day free trial with no card for up to 1,000 contacts, with 1 published automation and 2 team members per its plan table. After that you pick a paid plan or buy email credits.
Is Moosend reliable?
Moosend is an established email marketing company, registered in London with roots in Athens, and owned by Constant Contact since June 2025. G2 and Capterra reviewers rate it 4.6 out of 5, mostly for ease of use and price. Trustpilot shows 2.9 from 85 reviews as of October 2026, with complaints centered on auto-renewals and refunds.
How much does it cost to send 10,000 emails with Moosend?
On Pro the price follows list size, not email count, so 10,000 emails a month to 1,000 subscribers costs $16. Credits work out to $0.001 an email, or $10 for 10,000, but the smallest pack is $350 for 350,000 emails, and credits never expire. Prices checked October 2026.
Is Moosend cheaper than Mailchimp?
At 500 and 5,000 contacts, yes: Moosend Pro costs $9 and $48 a month against $13 and $75 for Mailchimp Essentials, as checked October 2026. Moosend sends are unlimited, while Essentials caps them at 10 times your contact tier. Mailchimp has a free plan for 250 contacts; Moosend has none.
Can you use Moosend for cold email?
No. Moosend's acceptable use policy bans purchased, third-party and scraped lists, and accounts over its bounce or complaint limits can be suspended. For prospects who never signed up, use an outreach sender on separate domains, such as Reachkit, which is our product: it buys the domains, creates and warms the inboxes and finds verified leads.
