Sender pricing

Sender pricing starts at $0 on Free Forever; Standard and Professional begin at $9 and $15 a month for 500 subscribers and rise with your list. USD, monthly billing, from sender.net/pricing as of October 2026:

PlanPrice at 500 subscribersEmails a monthUsers
Free Forever$0, up to 2,500 subscribers15,0001
Standard$912 per subscriber (6,000)3
Professional$1524 per subscriber (12,000)10
EnterpriseCustom, billed yearly onlyUnlimitedUnlimited

Standard drops Sender’s logo. Professional adds SMS automation, priority support, free monthly SMS credits ($10 worth at 500 subscribers), and a dedicated IP (from the 20,000-subscriber tier, per the pricing card; on request at no extra cost, per its FAQ). Prices exclude VAT of 5% to 25%.

Yearly billing: first-time customers get 30% off year one, which is where the $6.30 and $10.50 a month on the pricing page come from ($75.60 and $126 for the year). The card puts the full year at $108 and $180, twelve times the monthly price, while a help article says yearly billing is discounted, so check the renewal price before you commit.

Bigger lists: Sender’s own pages disagree. Standard at 5,000 subscribers is $33 in the text of its cost calculator and $39 in that page’s table. At 10,000 it’s $57 in a September 2026 blog post, which names no plan, and $69 for Standard in the calculator.

Pay as you go: $29 buys 5,000 emails, without Sender’s logo but also without SMS or advanced automation.

Two example bills (my math): a weekly newsletter to 2,000 readers is about 8,700 emails a month, inside Free Forever. A store with 5,000 subscribers on Standard gets 60,000 emails a month for $33 to $39, depending on which Sender page is right.

What Sender does

Sender sends marketing email to lists that signed up. You build campaigns in a drag-and-drop editor, collect subscribers with popups, forms and landing pages, and set automations that fire on subscriber actions, purchases or custom events, with email and SMS in one workflow on Professional. Shopify, WooCommerce, PrestaShop and WordPress connect natively, and receipts or password resets can go out through its API or SMTP on every plan, Free included.

A review comes before sending. You verify a sending domain (Sender won’t send from gmail.com or outlook.com addresses), import your list, and the account goes to Sender’s quality team. It asks for a website that matches your domain and links to the signup forms your subscribers came through, and typically answers within an hour on business days. Free and Standard send from shared IPs.

AI: help from AI comes through Sender’s MCP server, launched in August 2026. It lets Claude, ChatGPT or Cursor read your Sender reports, build segments and write campaign drafts or workflows from a chat. It never sends a campaign: those go out from the dashboard, and a new workflow stays off until you ask for a separate activation step.

Sender strengths and drawbacks

Strengths

  • A free plan that goes far. 2,500 subscribers and 15,000 emails a month, with automations, landing pages and transactional email, and it doesn’t expire (free plan limits).
  • Cheap to start, no daily caps. $9 a month at 500 subscribers, and no plan limits how much you send per day (sending limits).
  • Support people thank by name. Live chat runs 24/7 on every plan, Free included, and many recent five-star Trustpilot reviews name the chat agent who helped.
  • Email, SMS and transactional in one account, with native store integrations.

Drawbacks

  • Suspensions. One-star reviews are 2% of Sender’s Trustpilot total, and most of them describe an account suspended or closed, some before a single campaign went out. Sender’s anti-spam policy and a help article both set the unsubscribe limit at 1%, and they give different complaint and bounce limits.
  • Refunds are rare. The terms refund only when Sender ends your service without cause. Suspensions, unused plans, missed cancellations and a plan bought by mistake don’t qualify.
  • Prices above 500 subscribers are hard to pin down, since Sender’s own pages give different figures.

What Sender users say

Sender rates 4.9 out of 5 on Trustpilot from 1,565 reviews as of October 2026: 94% five-star, 2% one-star. Search listings put G2 at 4.7 from more than 260 reviews and Capterra at 4.7 from about 210, and Sender’s Shopify app holds 4.8 from 18.

Praise centers on support and ease of use: “Michael on Chat was extremely helpful and quick in fixing my issue!” (Trustpilot, October 2026). A Shopify merchant called the app “so easy to use.”

The one-star reviews are few and mostly tell one story: an account suspended, often before the first send, sometimes with no refund. “Our account was banned before we even sent a single email,” wrote one reviewer in February 2026.

Who Sender is for

Sender fits a small online store or newsletter whose subscribers joined through a form or a checkout: campaigns, abandoned-cart flows, SMS and receipts from one account. With one user, up to 2,500 subscribers and up to 15,000 emails a month, it costs nothing.

Look elsewhere if your list came from a database, a scrape or a purchase. Sender’s policy bans those lists, its team can ask for proof of opt-in at any time, and its terms cancel a new account opened after a suspension. I’d keep opted-in subscribers on Sender and run prospecting from a separate setup, so a cold campaign can’t touch your newsletter account.

Alternatives to Sender

  • MailerLite: free for 250 subscribers and 2,500 emails a month, with Comfort from $12 at 500.
  • Brevo: priced by emails sent rather than list size, with a free plan of 300 emails a day and Starter from $9 for 5,000 emails.
  • Moosend: unlimited sends priced by subscribers, $9 a month at 500, no free plan.
  • Omnisend: made for online stores, free for 250 contacts, Standard from $16 at 500.
  • Mailchimp: free for 250 contacts and Essentials from $13 at 500, with unsubscribed contacts counted in the bill.
  • Reachkit (our product): handles the prospecting Sender’s policy rules out, while Sender keeps your subscribers. It registers lookalike domains apart from your main one ($15 a year each), creates Google or Microsoft inboxes on them ($5 a month each) and warms them with AI-written emails; the $39 Growth plan adds 1,000 verified-lead credits a month and a Unibox for replies from all your inboxes. Sender: common questions

How much does Sender.net cost?

Sender Free Forever costs $0. At 500 subscribers, Standard is $9 a month and Professional $15 on monthly billing, or $6.30 and $10.50 a month in year one for new customers paying yearly. Prices rise with your list, and Sender's own pages disagree on the figures above 500 subscribers. Checked October 2026.

Does Sender have a free plan?

Yes. Sender Free Forever covers up to 2,500 subscribers and 15,000 emails a month for one user, with automations, landing pages and transactional email. Emails carry Sender's logo and SMS isn't included. It needs no card and doesn't expire, and every new account starts with 14 days of the Professional plan.

Is Sender.net legit?

Yes. Sender is run by UAB Sender.lt in Vilnius, Lithuania, has operated since 2012, and says more than 180,000 businesses use it. It holds 4.9 on Trustpilot from 1,565 reviews as of October 2026. The small share of one-star reviews mostly describe suspended accounts.

Can you use Sender for cold email?

No. Sender's anti-spam policy prohibits unsolicited email, bans bought, rented and harvested lists, and requires proof of opt-in when its compliance team asks. Prospecting belongs in a separate tool that sends from domains other than your main one. Reachkit, which is our product, does that and sets up those domains and inboxes for you.

Is Sender cheaper than Mailchimp?

At the entry level, yes. Sender's free plan covers 2,500 subscribers and 15,000 emails a month, against 250 contacts and 500 emails on Mailchimp Free. Sender Standard costs $9 a month at 500 subscribers, against $13 for Mailchimp Essentials, as of October 2026. Both raise prices as your list grows.
