Prospeo pricing and review
Prospeo is a B2B contact database, priced per user on credits, that feeds verified emails and mobile numbers to your sequencer, CRM or AI assistant.
Prospeo at a glance
Reachkit sells a cold email platform with its own lead database, so it competes with Prospeo for part of the job. Every Prospeo price on this page was checked on November 4, 2026 against prospeo.io and its help center.

Prospeo pricing
Prospeo pricing starts at $49 per user a month for Starter, and every paid plan is charged per seat. Figures are from prospeo.io/pricing and Prospeo’s plans overview, in USD, as of November 4, 2026.
| Plan | Monthly, per user | Billed yearly, per user | Credits per user |
|---|---|---|---|
| Free | $0 | $0 | 100 a month |
| Starter | $49 | $37/mo ($441/yr) | 2,000 a month |
| Growth | $99 | $74/mo ($888/yr) | 5,000 a month |
| Pro | $249 | $187/mo ($2,241/yr) | 15,000 a month |
Each seat adds its credits to one team pool, and all seats sit on the same plan. Yearly billing takes 25% off and delivers the year’s credits upfront. Some write-ups still quote an older $39 to $369 grid, which these per-user plans replaced.
What a credit buys. A verified email is 1 credit; a direct mobile is 10, email included. Searching in the app, previews and misses are free, and re-enriching a record within 90 days costs nothing. Exporting people or adding them to a list spends 1 credit per email found, automatically. Extra credits start at $10 for 1,000, as a recurring add-on that doesn’t roll over.
Rollover is described two ways. The help center says unused credits expire at renewal. The pricing page and the terms of service have each said both since October; on November 4, 2026 the pricing page said credits expire and the terms said paid credits roll over, capped at the plan’s base allowance. Cancelling applies at the end of the cycle, and the terms say all purchases are final.
What a typical setup costs: a founder adding about 1,500 new prospects a month needs at most 1,500 credits for emails, so Starter covers it at $49 a month or $441 a year. Mobiles for 1,000 of them push that to about 10,500 credits, past Growth’s 5,000: Pro at $249, or a smaller plan plus a credit add-on. Three teammates on Growth pay $297 a month for 15,000 shared credits. A sequencer and sending inboxes cost extra.
What Prospeo does
Prospeo is a searchable database of people and companies that reveals verified work emails and direct mobile numbers for credits, run from Toronto. You filter by title, company, technology, funding, job changes and intent topics (28 filters on Free, all 41 on Pro), browse for free, and pay when you reveal or export.
Data gets out through the web app, CSV enrichment (Starter and up), HubSpot or Salesforce enrichment (Growth and up), a Chrome extension that reads from Prospeo’s own database rather than the page you’re on, and an API with bulk calls of up to 50 records. Its MCP server lets Claude, ChatGPT or Cursor look up people and companies in Prospeo at API credit prices, where a page of search results costs 1 credit.
Prospeo doesn’t send email. Its integrations page lists sequencers such as Instantly, Smartlead, Lemlist and EmailBison, and CRMs including Pipedrive and Close. Its own pages put the database at 200M+ contacts (API docs) or 300M+ contacts and companies (MCP page), and claim 98% accuracy, a vendor figure rather than an independent test.
Prospeo strengths and drawbacks
Strengths
- You pay for results. Lookups that find nothing cost no credits (credits guide), and the free plan has no end date.
- Accuracy is the top praise. G2’s AI review summary leads with accurate contact details and ease of use.
- Cheap at volume. Pro billed yearly is about 1.25 cents a credit; the smallest add-on is $10 for 1,000.
- Open to builders. A documented API with published rate limits, an MCP server that Prospeo’s MCP page says comes with every plan, plus Clay, Zapier, Make and n8n.
Drawbacks
- Seats cost a full plan each. Five people who need 2,000 credits a month between them still pay 5 × $49 = $245 on Starter.
- Credits expire, per the help center. Salesforge, which sells a competing database, names expiring credits the most common complaint in Prospeo reviews.
- Mobiles are 10 credits each, about 25 cents on Starter monthly, a cost some G2 reviewers mention.
- Coverage varies. G2’s AI summary lists database size and finding specific prospects among complaints.
- Uploads feed its data. The terms give Prospeo a “perpetual and irrevocable” licence to add customer uploads to its dataset, which matters if you enrich client lists.
What Prospeo users say
Prospeo holds 4.6 out of 5 on G2 from about 1,000 reviews as of November 2026, and 4.8 from about 320 on Capterra, where it’s listed as “Prospeo Email Verifier”. Trustpilot shows 4.6 from 132 reviews, 78% five stars. The “4.8” badge on Prospeo’s site doesn’t name its source.
Reviewers like the accuracy, the interface and the extension. One Trustpilot reviewer wrote in July 2026: “A bit Expensive from Apollo, but the data is more accurate and has more option than Apollo”. Complaints keep returning to credits: they expire, and a mobile costs ten emails. Three one-star Trustpilot reviews come from people listed in the data, not customers.
Who Prospeo is for
Prospeo fits a sales team or GTM engineer who already runs a sequencer or CRM and wants verified emails, and sometimes mobiles, fed into it.
Look elsewhere if many people need logins but use few credits, if you need unused credits sure to carry over, or if you’d rather find and send in one tool. Cold email results come mostly from the list, so I’d size a Prospeo plan by the emails you’ll really find each month and give seats only to the people who search. More in lead scraping for cold email.
Alternatives to Prospeo
- Apollo: a database with email sequences built in and a free plan of 75 credits a month; Basic is $49 per seat billed yearly. See the Apollo profile.
- Hunter: an email finder with sequences and unlimited users on every plan; Starter is $49 a month for 2,000 credits. See the Hunter profile.
- FullEnrich: asks several data vendors in turn for each contact, from $29 a month for 500 credits, with unlimited users. See the FullEnrich profile.
- Lusha: emails and phones, with 40 free credits a month and Starter at $49.90. See the Lusha profile.
- Reachkit (our product): if you pull emails from Prospeo to cold email them, Reachkit searches 500M+ people in its Lead Finder, puts verified emails straight into a campaign at 1 credit each (refunded when no email verifies) and sends them too. Mega, $597 a month, includes 20,000 credits a month, 20 domains with 60 mailboxes it sets up and warms for about three weeks, CRM sync and no seat fees. If you only need Starter’s 2,000 emails and already have a sender, Prospeo costs far less, and below about 1,200 emails a day Prospeo plus a separate sender often will too. Extra credits also cost more ($25 per 1,000, though they never expire).
Prospeo: common questions
How much does Prospeo cost per month?
Prospeo costs $49 per user a month on Starter (2,000 credits), $99 on Growth (5,000) and $249 on Pro (15,000), or $37, $74 and $187 per user a month billed yearly. A verified email uses 1 credit and a mobile number 10. Prices checked November 4, 2026 on Prospeo's pricing page.
Is Prospeo free to use?
Partly. The free plan gives 100 credits a month with no time limit, enough for 100 verified emails or 10 mobiles, with fewer filters and no CSV enrichment. Prospeo's pages disagree on API access for free accounts: the pricing table says none, the help center says limited, and the API docs say free for all users.
Is Prospeo legit?
Yes. Prospeo is a Toronto-based contact data company rated 4.6 out of 5 on G2 from about 1,000 reviews and 4.6 on Trustpilot from 132, as of November 2026. People listed in its data can opt out at prospeo.io/optout.
Do Prospeo credits roll over?
Prospeo's pages disagree. The help center says unused credits expire at renewal, yearly credits included. The pricing page and the terms of service have each said both since October 2026: on November 4 the pricing page said credits expire and the terms said unused paid credits roll over, capped at the plan's base allowance. Ask Prospeo to confirm for your account before you pay for a year upfront.
What are some free alternatives to Prospeo?
Apollo has a free plan with 75 credits a month and built-in sequences, Hunter's free plan has 50 credits a month, and Lusha's has 40. Reachkit, which is our product, has no free plan and starts at $597 a month, but it sends to the leads it finds, and its /build page drafts a campaign and sizes the audience for free before you sign up. Checked November 2026.
Finding emails in Prospeo, then paying for a sender too?
Reachkit finds verified leads, drops them into a campaign and sends from 60 mailboxes it sets up and warms for about three weeks. Mega is $597 a month with 20,000 lead credits and no seat fees; /build shows the campaign before you pay.
