Clearbit alternatives

Clearbit is now sold only with a paid HubSpot plan, and its free tools are gone. If you use another CRM, called its API or relied on Connect, here are ten replacements, grouped by the job Clearbit did for you.

The short answer

Reachkit makes a competing cold email tool with a built-in lead database, and it’s one of the ten options below. I checked every price on this page against the vendor’s own site in October 2026; Vendr and other third-party figures are labeled as such.

If you pay for HubSpot, you may not need to leave. Clearbit’s help center sends buyers to HubSpot, whose data enrichment is included with paid seats, from Starter on most hubs, and uses no HubSpot Credits. Everyone else should replace the part of Clearbit they actually used:

  • CRM enrichment at enterprise depth, in any major CRM: ZoomInfo, quote-only.
  • European contacts with checked mobile numbers: Cognism, quote-only.
  • A person and company API that bills only for matches: People Data Labs.
  • Company signals by API, prepaid, no subscription: Explorium.
  • Many data providers chained in one table: Clay.
  • The companies visiting your website: Leadfeeder, with a free plan.
  • The US people visiting your website: RB2B.
  • What Clearbit Connect and the Logo API did, for free: Hunter.
  • Contacts and sequences on a small budget: Apollo, with a free plan.
  • Firmographic search turned into cold email, sending included: Reachkit.

Common problems

Why people look for a Clearbit alternative

Sold only inside HubSpot
Since December 2023, signing up for Clearbit has required a HubSpot account, and Clearbit's help center says it no longer sells new standalone subscriptions. New customers on Salesforce or another CRM have no way in, and a third-party guide reports the standalone enrichment API is closed to new sign-ups too.
Free tools that shut down
April 30, 2025 was the last day for Clearbit's free platform, its Weekly Visitor Report, the Clearbit Connect extension, its TAM Calculator and its free Slack app. The public Logo API stopped on December 8, 2025.
Fills in records, doesn't find people
HubSpot matches contacts on name and work email, so its enrichment adds detail to people you already have. With Connect gone, there's no Clearbit tool for finding new addresses, and its changelog has carried only shutdown notices since August 2024.

1. ZoomInfo: best for enrichment in any major CRM

ZoomInfo is a contact and company database with intent data and sales tools on top; it claims 500M+ contacts and 100M+ companies. Its own pricing guide describes enrichment that runs in real time when CRM records are created or updated, or in scheduled batches, with controls over which fields get overwritten; its pricing FAQ lists Salesforce, HubSpot, Dynamics and other CRMs.

Price (October 2026): paid plans are quote-only and seat-based. Vendr’s February 2026 data puts the median buyer at $33,500 a year across 1,577 purchases. Developers can skip the contract: the GTM.AI API and MCP server (MCP is a standard way for AI assistants like Claude and ChatGPT to use other apps) start with 1,000 free data credits, then pay as you go from $20, with automatic volume discounts ($0.38 a credit, one credit per record, at the $1,000 tier).

Strengths:

  • Mobile numbers and business emails on the Professional plan, with buyer intent and website visitors added on Copilot Advanced.
  • A way out on bad data in its license terms: if over 5% of contacts aren’t at the stated company and ZoomInfo can’t fix that in 30 days, you can terminate with a prorated refund.

Drawbacks: contracts run a year, can’t be cancelled before the term ends, and renew on their own unless you opt out in time; several sources put the notice window at 60 days. Outdated contacts come up in Trustpilot’s review summary and among G2’s cons.

Versus Clearbit: people and phone numbers rather than mainly company details, and no HubSpot requirement, at a much higher price. See the ZoomInfo profile, ZoomInfo alternatives or Apollo vs ZoomInfo.

2. Cognism: best for European contacts with checked mobile numbers

Cognism is a prospecting database built around European data. You filter people and companies, spend one credit to reveal a contact, and send it to your CRM or a CSV file. Its CRM Enrichment product, sold as an add-on or on its own, updates records already sitting in Salesforce or HubSpot, which is the job many teams bought Clearbit for.

Price (October 2026): quote-only. Standard and Pro each include five seats, and Pro adds Bombora intent, higher-quality mobile data and phone checks on demand. Cognism publishes no prices, but a Supered guide quotes Vendr’s purchase data: a $32,750 yearly median across 94 purchases.

Strengths:

  • Diamond Data: Cognism calls each of these mobile numbers to confirm the right person answers, and it counts over 10 million of them.
  • Built for European compliance: it notifies people that they’re in its database and screens against Do Not Call lists.

Drawbacks: no price before a sales call, and the credit allowance per seat isn’t published either. Users and comparison guides say its coverage is strongest in Europe, the Middle East and Africa.

Versus Clearbit: Clearbit described companies; Cognism finds and verifies the people in them, with phones, and enriches Salesforce as well as HubSpot. See the Cognism profile.

3. People Data Labs: best for an enrichment API that bills per match

People Data Labs (PDL) sells person, company and IP data through developer APIs. You send what you know and the API returns the matching record. For developers who called Clearbit’s enrichment API, which a third-party guide reports is closed to new sign-ups, PDL is a self-serve option with public prices.

Price (October 2026): the Free plan gives 100 credits a month with emails, phone numbers and addresses hidden. Each API is its own Pro subscription: person data from $98 a month for 350 records ($0.28 each), company data from $100 for 1,000 ($0.10 each), and IP enrichment from $95.40 for 1,325.

Strengths:

  • A lookup that finds nothing costs nothing, and you can require a field so you never pay for a record that lacks it.
  • Public rates for every API and every Pro volume tier, credits that roll over up to one period’s allowance, and SDKs in five languages.

Drawbacks: PDL’s own stats show a work email on about 3.4% of person records, and its schema docs say the emails field holds historical addresses that shouldn’t go straight into outreach. Its docs list no HubSpot integration; it connects through Salesforce, Zapier, Make or Clay.

Versus Clearbit: no CRM sidebar or form tools, just records your code requests, billed per hit. See the People Data Labs profile.

4. Explorium: best for company signals through an API, without a subscription

Explorium sells B2B company and contact data to software and AI agents through an API and a hosted MCP server. You search businesses or prospects by filters such as industry, size or location, then pay to enrich only the records you keep: firmographics, technographics, funding, contacts and business events. Intent topics work as a search filter.

Price (October 2026): one-time credit packs. New accounts get 100 trial credits that last 90 days. After that, 500 credits cost $29.99 (Lite), 5,000 cost $149.99 (Starter) and 30,000 cost $749.99 (Growth). Each record a search returns costs 1 credit (2 with the intent filter), a work email 2 more and a phone number 5, email included.

Strengths:

  • No seats, no subscription and no sales call until Enterprise.
  • Audience counts are free, and you pay per enrichment, so company data without contacts stays cheap.

Drawbacks: credits expire after 12 months, packs aren’t refundable, and access stops when the balance reaches zero. For Salesforce or HubSpot you use n8n templates or a custom build that Explorium sets up, not a ready-made app. It doesn’t send email.

Versus Clearbit: company data of a similar kind, but bought in prepaid packs and pulled by your own code or agent instead of filled into HubSpot for you. See the Explorium profile.

5. Clay: best for chaining many data providers

Clay is a spreadsheet-style workspace where each row runs through a sequence of data providers until one returns an answer, an approach Clay calls waterfall enrichment. Claygent, its AI agent, researches the web row by row, and Clay’s rebuilt Sequencer, generally available since September 2026, can send the emails.

Price (October 2026): a free plan, then Launch at $185 a month ($167 billed yearly) with 15,000 actions and a data-credit allowance. Growth, $495 a month ($446 yearly), adds CRM sync with HubSpot and Salesforce, the HTTP API and webhooks.

Strengths:

  • Unlimited seats on every plan, and an enrichment that comes back empty costs nothing.
  • 150+ providers on its pricing page, so when one source has a gap, the next one gets a try.

Drawbacks: two meters, actions and data credits, make the monthly bill hard to predict, and G2’s summary mentions a steep learning curve.

Versus Clearbit: instead of one provider’s view of a company, you combine several and choose the order. See the Clay profile, Reachkit vs Clay or Apollo vs Clay.

6. Leadfeeder: best for naming the companies on your website

Leadfeeder installs a tracking script, looks up each visitor’s IP address in its company database and sends matching accounts to your CRM. That’s the job Clearbit’s Weekly Visitor Report did until April 2025, and that HubSpot’s buyer intent does now. Leadfeeder puts its match rate at “up to 45%” of visiting companies. You learn which business came by, not which employee.

Price (October 2026, published in euros): Lite is free for up to 100 identified companies a month with 7 days of history. The Discover plan costs from €79 a month on yearly billing, or €113 month to month. Emails and phone numbers start on Activate, from €369 a month yearly, and use credits.

Strengths:

  • Every plan, the free one included, lets your whole team in at no extra cost.
  • Native syncs with Salesforce, HubSpot, Pipedrive, Dynamics 365, Zoho and SuperOffice, plus an API and an MCP server on paid plans with API access.

Drawbacks: yearly plans renew unless you cancel at least 30 days before the term ends, and reviewers on Trustpilot, Capterra and G2 say no reminder came.

Versus Clearbit: HubSpot’s buyer intent costs 10 HubSpot Credits per tracked company a month; Leadfeeder has a free tier and syncs to six CRMs. See the Leadfeeder profile.

7. RB2B: best for naming US visitors as people

RB2B also identifies website visitors, but for US traffic it names the person: name, LinkedIn URL, job title and pages viewed. Outside the US it names the company when its confidence is high, and Pro plans route profiles into CRMs, Clay and outbound tools.

Price (October 2026): Free covers 150 companies a month, with no names. Starter is $79 a month for 300 named US visitors with LinkedIn URLs, but no emails or CRM sync. Pro starts at $149 for 600 visitors and adds business emails and every integration. No contract is required.

Strengths:

  • G2 reviewers mention easy setup more than any other plus.
  • Native routes into HubSpot, Salesforce, Apollo, Clay, Instantly and HeyReach, among others.

Drawbacks: person-level matches cover US visitors only. A match that only names the company still costs a credit, and RB2B gives no refunds.

Versus Clearbit: Clearbit’s IP intelligence tells you which company came by; RB2B names the US person who did. See the RB2B profile.

8. Hunter: best for the jobs Clearbit's free tools did

Hunter finds and verifies work email addresses from public web sources, and it covers two Clearbit tools that shut down. Its browser extension finds addresses while you browse, as Clearbit Connect did, and Hunter launched a free Company Logo API in February 2026, about two months after Clearbit’s went offline. It also has an Enrichment API and a built-in email sender.

Price (October 2026): Free gives 50 credits a month with no time limit. Starter is $49 a month ($34 billed yearly) with 2,000 credits. A found email costs 1 credit, a verification half a credit and an Enrichment API call 0.2; misses are free.

Strengths:

  • No seat fees on any plan, and even Free includes the API, the MCP server and native HubSpot, Salesforce, Pipedrive and Zoho connections.
  • Addresses Hunter found on the web come with the public pages where it found them.

Drawbacks: it’s built around email, with no mobile number finder. G2 reviewers mention missing results at smaller companies, and Hunter doesn’t offer refunds.

Versus Clearbit: a cheaper tool for finding and checking addresses, without Clearbit’s firmographic depth. See the Hunter profile or Reachkit vs Hunter.

9. Apollo: best for contacts and sequences on a small budget

Apollo pairs a contact database, 240M+ contacts and 30M companies by its own count, with email sequences and two-way Salesforce and HubSpot sync on every plan, plus a dialer from Basic up. Waterfall enrichment has been the default on paid plans since December 2025, and Bombora intent arrived in June 2026.

Price (October 2026): Free gives 75 credits a month. Basic is $49 a seat a month billed yearly, or $65 monthly, with 2,500 credits. An email costs 1 credit and a mobile number 8.

Strengths:

  • A free plan with no end date, and public prices for every self-serve tier.
  • An official MCP server on every plan, Free included for teams on a work-email domain.

Drawbacks: bounces on emails Apollo marked as verified are a recurring complaint on Capterra, Trustpilot and Reddit. Apollo’s knowledge base puts its email accuracy at 91%, while its AI fact sheet says 98%. Billing is per seat, and fees are non-refundable.

Versus Clearbit: Apollo finds new people and emails them; Clearbit adds detail to records you already hold. See the Apollo profile, Apollo alternatives or Reachkit vs Apollo.

10. Reachkit: best for turning a firmographic search into cold email

This is our product. Reachkit runs cold email campaigns and has a lead search built in, called Lead Finder. If you used Clearbit to decide which companies fit and then needed people there to email, Reachkit covers both steps and sends the campaign.

Lead Finder searches 500M+ people and 70M+ companies by technologies, company size, revenue, industry, HQ and founding year, then by title and seniority. Emails are verified before leads join a campaign, and the AI drafts the sequence from a one-sentence brief.

Price (October 2026): Growth costs $39 a month for the workspace ($29 billed yearly). Each month it includes 1,000 lead credits and 15,000 campaign emails, and it holds up to 5,000 contacts at once. Scale starts at $99 and adds the CRM, the API and a HubSpot sync that pushes positive replies in as a contact, a deal and the email thread. The trial is 30 days, no card.

Strengths:

  • Browsing Lead Finder costs nothing, you pay 1 credit per verified lead you add, and teammates are free.
  • Inboxes come either way: bring Google, Microsoft or IMAP accounts with no per-inbox fee, or order new domains ($15 a year each) and Google or Microsoft inboxes ($5 a month each), which Reachkit configures and warms with AI.

Drawbacks: it doesn’t enrich records already in your CRM, identify website visitors, or supply intent data or phone numbers. Its REST API doesn’t cover Lead Finder, so it won’t replace an enrichment API in your code. Reachkit’s help center expects 70 to 95% of a well-targeted search to verify, and CRM sync needs Scale.

Versus Clearbit: Clearbit describes accounts inside HubSpot; Reachkit turns a description of accounts into a sent campaign. See pricing.

How to choose

  • You enriched Salesforce or another CRM. ZoomInfo for depth and phone numbers on an annual contract, Cognism if you sell into Europe, Apollo if budget matters more than depth.
  • Your code called Clearbit’s API. People Data Labs for person and company records billed per match, Explorium for prepaid company signals, Clay to mix providers with little code.
  • You watched who visited your site. Leadfeeder to see which companies visit, RB2B to name US visitors.
  • You used Connect or the Logo API. Hunter covers both for free.
  • You used Clearbit to pick accounts, then emailed people there. Apollo if you want seats with a dialer, Reachkit if you want one workspace price and inboxes it can set up for you.

On a legacy Clearbit contract, ask HubSpot what happens at renewal; I found no public statement on how long old API keys keep working.

Clearbit alternatives: common questions

What are some alternatives to Clearbit?

It depends on the job. For CRM enrichment, ZoomInfo, Cognism or Apollo. For an enrichment API, People Data Labs, Explorium or Clay. For website visitors, Leadfeeder or RB2B. For a free email finder and logo API, Hunter. To turn target companies into cold email, Reachkit, which is our product. Checked October 2026.

Is there a free Clearbit alternative?

Several tools start free. Hunter includes 50 credits a month and offers a free Company Logo API. Apollo includes 75 credits a month, Leadfeeder Lite names up to 100 visiting companies monthly, and People Data Labs gives 100 credits a month with contact fields hidden. For logos, Clearbit itself pointed users to Logo.dev. Checked October 2026.

Can you still buy Clearbit?

Only as part of HubSpot. HubSpot bought Clearbit in 2023, and Clearbit's help center says new standalone subscriptions are no longer offered. Its help center sends buyers to HubSpot, whose paid seats from Starter, on most hubs, include data enrichment without using HubSpot Credits, at $20 a seat a month list price for Starter. Watching a company for buyer intent costs 10 HubSpot Credits a month. Checked October 2026.

What replaced Clearbit Connect?

Clearbit has no replacement. Connect, its free Chrome extension for finding email addresses, closed on April 30, 2025, and HubSpot's enrichment adds detail to contacts you already have instead of finding new ones. Hunter's browser extension and Email Finder do the same lookup job, with 50 free credits a month and free misses.

Is ZoomInfo or Cognism better than Clearbit?

For outbound they do more, at a much higher price. Both sell contact data with phone numbers and enrich Salesforce or HubSpot, while Clearbit mainly adds company details inside HubSpot. ZoomInfo is broader; Cognism is strongest in Europe. Both are quote-only, with Vendr medians near $33,500 and $32,750 a year (Cognism's via Supered). Checked October 2026.

What is the cheapest Clearbit alternative for cold email?

Clearbit sends nothing, so you need a tool that finds and emails people. Hunter and Apollo both have free plans with sequences. Paid options start at $49 a month for Hunter Starter, $49 a seat billed yearly for Apollo Basic, and $39 a month per workspace for Reachkit, which is our product, including 1,000 lead credits and the sending itself. Checked October 2026.

My take

What HubSpot kept of Clearbit is enrichment: filling in company details on HubSpot records at no extra cost. If that’s all you used it for, staying is the cheapest move.

The reasons to leave are the things HubSpot didn’t keep: the standalone API, Connect, the visitor report, or Clearbit outside HubSpot. Replace that one job rather than buying a bigger data suite. For cold email, I treat firmographics as a filter for picking companies and judge a data tool by how many verified emails it gets me per dollar. That’s where Reachkit fits: filter the companies, add verified people and send, in one workspace.
