Storylane pricing and review

Storylane is interactive demo software: you capture your product as a clickable walkthrough, share it on your website or in sales emails, and see who went through it.

Storylane at a glance

Reachkit makes cold email software and builds no demos. Every Storylane price here was checked in October 2026 against Storylane’s own plans page, product pages, blog, help docs and terms of service.

Storylane pricing

Storylane pricing starts at $0, and the first paid plan, Starter, costs $40 a month billed yearly or $50 billed monthly. The figures below come from storylane.io/plans as of October 2026, where the yearly toggle is marked 20% off.

  • Free: one demo live at a time, unlimited views, 200 AI credits and lead capture.
  • Starter: unlimited published demos, 1,000 AI credits, the MCP server, HubSpot and Zapier, and company names for 250 demo visitors a month. Extra seats: $40.
  • Growth: HTML demos, personalization tokens, A/B testing and 10,000 AI credits. Extra seats: $100. Hubs (deal rooms) is an add-on with no public price.
  • Premium: Salesforce, SSO, multi-language demos (on request) and Hubs, with 20,000 AI credits.
  • Enterprise: sandbox demos, unlimited AI credits and private demo links.

The plans page shows the same seat prices under both billing options and doesn’t say how many credits an AI action uses.

RepX, the AI website agent, is billed on its own. The RepX page says “Free for up to 2K visitors/mo. From $24K/year”, and an October 2026 Storylane blog post lists Growth from $2,000 a month and Premium from $3,000, priced by website visitors, with a 30-day trial. Storylane’s posts disagree on Growth’s visitor cap (20,000 or 10,000), so confirm yours in writing.

What a typical setup costs: one person on Starter pays $480 a year billed yearly or $600 monthly; three people pay $1,440 a year billed yearly, if extra seats stay $40. A two-person team needing HTML demos moves to Growth and pays for five seats: $6,000 a year billed yearly.

Renewals and cancelling. Plans renew automatically, and the terms allow refunds within 14 days of the original purchase. Starter customers cancel in the app; Growth and above cancel through support. Cancelling drops you to Free and keeps your demos, with one left published.

What Storylane does

Storylane lets a buyer click through your product without booking a call. You capture screens with the Chrome extension, desktop app or Figma, or upload a video and let AI cut it into steps. Demos come in three kinds:

  • Screenshot and video demos, on every plan.
  • HTML demos, an editable copy of your app’s pages where you can blur data or change text, from Growth.
  • Sandbox demos, a fuller copy to explore freely, on Enterprise or as a Premium add-on.

You add guided steps, voiceover, AI avatars and lead forms, then share by website embed, link, the Gmail plugin, HubSpot or Salesforce. Hubs bundle demos, PDFs and videos into one deal room. Analytics cover sessions, leads and accounts, and Account Reveal names the companies behind demo visits.

RepX is an AI agent on your website that answers visitors by text, voice or video, qualifies them, books meetings and sends leads to HubSpot, Salesforce and Slack.

For builders, Storylane launched an MCP server in August 2026, a standard way for AI assistants like Claude and ChatGPT to use other apps. Its API docs say every paid plan gets the REST API, while the plans page lists the API under Enterprise.

Storylane strengths and drawbacks

Strengths

  • Fast to build. G2’s summary of Storylane reviews puts ease of use first. An October 2026 reviewer wrote that it “literally takes less than 5 minutes to create and publish your first demo” (G2 reviews via AWS Marketplace).
  • Prices in the open. Every Demo Suite plan below Enterprise has a list price, and the free plan never expires.
  • Builder access on the cheap plan. The MCP server works from Starter, and API keys became self-serve in August 2026.

Drawbacks

  • A steep step to Growth. HTML demos, tokens and A/B testing jump from $40 to $500 a month on yearly billing, bundled with five seats. A G2 reviewer wished “some of the growth features could be part of starter”.
  • Branding takes effort. A G2 reviewer found branding setup “not quite straightforward”; an October 2026 release extended themes.
  • Mobile viewing. G2’s summary says “the mobile experience can be inconsistent”; a phone-frame player shipped in September 2026.

What Storylane users say

Storylane rates 4.7 out of 5 from about 1,600 G2 reviews, 85% of them five stars, per its AWS Marketplace listing, which carries G2’s reviews (October 2026). Gartner Peer Insights shows 4.7 from 7 reviews. Capterra has 2 reviews and Trustpilot none, too few to read anything into.

Praise centers on how quickly a first demo goes live and how easy the editor is. Complaints repeat around branding control, demos on phones, the time complex demos take, and features or seats held for pricier plans.

Who Storylane is for

Storylane fits B2B software companies that want buyers to try the product before a call: marketers adding a demo to the website, reps sending one after a meeting, and teams building deal rooms for bigger accounts.

Look elsewhere if you need HTML demos on a small team’s budget, a trial without a sales form, or a way to reach people who’ve never heard of you. In outbound, I’d get the list and the sending setup right before polishing the demo.

Alternatives to Storylane

  • Other interactive demo tools: Navattic, Arcade, Supademo, Walnut and HowdyGo show up in the same searches and review categories.
  • BombBomb: a personal recorded video instead of a click-through demo, from $36 per user a month billed annually. See the BombBomb profile.
  • Leadfeeder: if Account Reveal is the part you want, Leadfeeder names the companies visiting your whole website, with a free Lite plan. See the Leadfeeder profile.
  • RB2B: identifies the companies, and in the US the people, behind visits to your site, with a free plan that shows companies only. See the RB2B profile.
  • Reachkit (our product): the sending side for a demo that goes to new prospects. It drafts a cold email campaign from one sentence, finds verified leads, registers separate domains ($15 a year) and sets up Google or Microsoft inboxes ($5 a month) that warm automatically, from $39 a month per workspace with no seat fees. It doesn’t build demos.

Storylane: common questions

How much does Storylane cost?

Storylane has a free plan. Starter costs $40 a month billed yearly or $50 monthly for 1 seat, Growth $500 or $625 for 5 seats, and Premium $1,200 or $1,500 for 10 seats. Enterprise is custom. RepX, the AI website agent, is priced separately, with paid tiers from $2,000 a month. Prices checked October 2026.

Does Storylane have a free plan?

Yes. The free plan has 1 seat and 1 published demo at a time with unlimited views, and it doesn't expire. Paid-plan trials are requested through a sales form, with no published length.

Is Storylane legit?

Yes. Storylane Inc was founded in 2021, went through Y Combinator's Summer 2021 batch and is based in the San Francisco Bay Area. As of October 2026 it rates 4.7 on G2 from about 1,600 reviews.

What are some good alternatives to Storylane?

For interactive demos, Navattic, Arcade, Supademo, Walnut and HowdyGo are the usual comparisons. For naming the companies on your website, Leadfeeder or RB2B. To send demo links to people who don't know you yet, you need a cold email platform such as Reachkit, which is our product.

Can you use Storylane for cold email?

Only as the content inside the email. Storylane builds and tracks the demo, but it has no email campaigns, inboxes, warmup or contact database. To email new prospects at volume, pair it with a cold email platform.

Sending your demo to new prospects?

Reachkit finds verified leads, registers separate domains and sets up warmed Google or Microsoft inboxes for the emails your demo links ride in. Start a 30-day free trial, no card needed.
