dmarcian pricing and review
dmarcian collects the DMARC reports mailbox providers send about your domains and shows which services send mail as you, on plans priced by active domains and message volume.
dmarcian at a glance
Reachkit wrote this page. It sells a cold email platform that sets up DMARC on the sending domains it registers, and it’s listed below as one alternative. Every price was checked on dmarcian’s own pricing page in October 2026.

dmarcian pricing
dmarcian pricing starts at $24 a month for the Basic plan, or $19.99 a month on a yearly bill, and all four standard plans are priced on dmarcian.com/pricing as of October 2026. Prices are in US dollars before tax, with matching CAD and EUR prices on regional instances.
| Plan | Monthly (billed yearly) | Active domains | Messages a month |
|---|---|---|---|
| Personal | $0, non-business only | 2 | 1,250 |
| Basic | $24 ($19.99) | 2 | 100,000 |
| Plus | $240 ($199) | 8 | 1,000,000 |
| Enterprise | $600 ($499) | 15 | 5,000,000 |
| Custom | Tailored, via sales | By quote | By quote |
Basic has 1 user and 3 months of data, Plus 3 users and a year, Enterprise unlimited users and history. Going by the plan table, alerts and forensic reports start on Basic, and API access, single sign-on (SSO) and Domain Discovery are Enterprise only.
How the limits count. An active domain sends legitimate mail; parked domains that send nothing are unlimited on every plan. Forwarded or spoofed mail isn’t billed. dmarcian calls the volumes “default allowances” and prices overages on request, with no published rate.
Discounts and extras. Nonprofit, government, education and multi-year pricing exist on request, and MSP pricing goes through sales. Paid onboarding (four one-hour expert sessions) has a flat rate the site doesn’t show.
What a typical setup costs. A main domain plus five cold email domains is six active domains, assuming each sending domain counts as active. That’s past Basic’s two, so it’s Plus: $2,388 a year on yearly billing or $2,880 on monthly. Twenty sending domains is past Enterprise’s 15 and needs a quote. Volume rarely sets the tier, since a few thousand cold emails a month sits far under every paid cap. SpendHound’s purchasing data (updated October 2026) puts the average small-business contract near $2,300 a year.
What dmarcian does
dmarcian is a DMARC monitoring platform. DMARC is a DNS record that tells receiving servers what to do with mail failing SPF or DKIM checks, and where to send reports about it. Those reports arrive as XML files that are hard to read by hand, and dmarcian turns them into a list of who is sending as you.
Setup is one DNS change: you point your DMARC reports at dmarcian, and your DNS stays with your own provider, a “read-only design” in dmarcian’s words. Each sender shows up as a named Source, such as Mailchimp or Office 365, instead of an IP address. The Source Viewer sorts legitimate senders from suspicious ones, the Detail Viewer gives step-by-step fixes, and Alert Central flags DNS changes or abuse by email, Slack, Teams or webhook.
Ten free lookup tools need no account, including an SPF Surveyor, DKIM Inspector and, since September 2026, an Email Header Analyzer. dmarcian’s pages describe no AI features.
dmarcian doesn’t send email, host or warm inboxes, or test placement, and the DNS fixes stay with you. Its public pages don’t offer to host your SPF, DMARC or MTA-STS records: it checks an MTA-STS setup, and its guides show how to host the policy yourself.
dmarcian strengths and drawbacks
Strengths
- Prices you can see. Every standard tier is listed with its limits, and businesses can trial a paid plan for 30 days without a card.
- Roots in the standard. dmarcian was founded in 2012 by, in its words, “one of the primary authors of the DMARC specification” (about).
- Security paperwork. A yearly SOC 2 Type II audit, four ISO certificates including ISO 27001 (security), and data centers in the EU, Canada, Japan and other regions.
- Free tools and lessons. The no-signup lookup tools, plus DMARC Academy, a free course dmarcian launched in May 2022.
Drawbacks
- A big jump between tiers. After Basic’s 2 domains and 1 user, Plus costs ten times as much.
- A ceiling on domains. Even Enterprise stops at 15 active domains, and more means a custom quote.
- API and SSO only on Enterprise, at $499 to $600 a month.
- Firm terms. The terms of service make fees non-refundable and bar lowering a subscription mid-term, and overage rates aren’t published.
What dmarcian users say
dmarcian has few public reviews, so any score is a small sample. As of October 2026, search listings show 4.3 out of 5 on G2 from 4 reviews (earlier listings showed 3.5 from 5) and 4.5 on Capterra from 4, and Trustpilot shows 3.7 from a single five-star review.
The praise I found is mostly about depth: a 2023 Capterra reviewer said its reports “present more details than other solutions”. Ease of use splits the small sample. That same reviewer found the interface “confusing” and said you need to be “very familiar” with SPF, DKIM and DMARC, and a G2 reviewer called it “less user friendly”, while a 2024 Capterra reviewer said “the UI is very well thought out”. An r/msp user on Reddit called it “more of a try it and see so no real demo”. Most “dmarcian review” articles in search are written by competing DMARC vendors, so I’d read them with that in mind.
Who dmarcian is for
dmarcian fits IT teams and managed service providers (MSPs) who need to find every service sending as a company domain, from the CRM to the help desk, and move those domains to a strict DMARC policy without blocking real mail. MSPs get multi-domain management from one dashboard, an MSP Portal and partner pricing on request.
Look elsewhere if your goal is cold email that lands. Many sending domains push you to Plus or a quote, and dmarcian won’t buy the domains or warm the inboxes. Gmail requires SPF, DKIM and DMARC from anyone sending 5,000 or more messages a day to its users. In my view, once those records are right, separate domains, low volume per inbox and warmup matter more than a reporting dashboard (see cold email infrastructure).
Alternatives to dmarcian
- DMARC Digests: monitoring from $14 a month per domain, sold next to Postmark by their shared owner, ActiveCampaign. See Postmark.
- ZeroBounce ONE: $99 a month bundles DMARC monitoring for one domain with 10,000 email validations and placement tests. See ZeroBounce.
- MailerSend: for transactional senders, Professional ($110 a month at 50,000 emails) includes DMARC monitoring for up to 10 domains. See MailerSend.
- EasyDMARC, PowerDMARC and Valimail: dedicated DMARC platforms that show up next to dmarcian in search. I haven’t checked their prices.
- Reachkit (our product): for cold email, Reachkit registers new sending domains at $15 a year, sets SPF, DKIM and DMARC on them, then creates and warms Google or Microsoft inboxes at $5 a month each, on plans from $39 a month. It doesn’t read DMARC reports or watch your main domain.
dmarcian: common questions
How much does dmarcian cost?
dmarcian costs $24 a month for Basic, $240 for Plus and $600 for Enterprise, or $19.99, $199 and $499 a month billed yearly, as of October 2026. Basic covers 2 active domains, Plus 8 and Enterprise 15, and anything bigger is priced by sales.
Is dmarcian free?
Partly. Its 10 lookup tools, such as the SPF Surveyor, are free with no account. The Personal plan is $0 but only for non-business domains sending under 1,250 emails a month, and dmarcian audits Personal accounts: one holding a business domain expires, though the owner can move to a paid plan without losing data. Businesses get a 30-day trial of a paid plan with no credit card.
Is dmarcian safe?
dmarcian has a SOC 2 Type II audit every year, shared under NDA, plus ISO 27001, 27017, 27701 and 22301 certificates. It works from the DMARC reports you route to it rather than taking over your DNS, which it calls a read-only design. The company was founded in 2012 and is self-funded.
What is dmarcian used for?
dmarcian is used to monitor DMARC. It shows every service sending as your domain, flags authentication failures and possible abuse, and guides you toward a stricter DMARC policy. It doesn't send email or host inboxes.
Does dmarcian have an API or SSO?
Yes, on Enterprise only, which costs $499 a month billed yearly or $600 monthly as of October 2026. dmarcian lists a RESTful API with webhook support and batch endpoints, plus SAML single sign-on. Its API docs aren't public.
Do I need dmarcian for cold email?
Usually not. Each sending domain needs SPF, DKIM and DMARC set, and dmarcian's domain caps make monitoring many of them costly: six active domains already need Plus at $199 a month billed yearly. A cold email tool that sets those records for you, such as Reachkit, which is our product, covers the basics. dmarcian fits better for auditing everything that sends as your main domain.
Adding sending domains for cold email?
Reachkit registers separate domains, sets SPF, DKIM and DMARC on each one, then creates and warms your Google or Microsoft inboxes. Try it free for 30 days, no card needed.
