Typefully pricing and review

Typefully is a writing and scheduling tool for X, LinkedIn, Threads, Bluesky, Mastodon and Substack Notes, with a free plan, a yearly Creator plan and Business priced per social set.

Typefully at a glance

Reachkit makes a cold email tool, not a social media scheduler. Typefully’s plans and limits were checked on October 16, 2026 against its own pricing page and help center; the dollar amounts come from two price checks of that page dated October 12 and 13.

Typefully pricing

Typefully pricing has three self-serve levels: Free, Creator at $99 a year for one writer, and Business at $18 per social set a month billed yearly. A social set is the group of accounts for one person or brand, such as your X account plus your LinkedIn profile (help center).

PlanPriceSets and usersPosts a month
Free$01 set, 1 user10
Creator$99 a year, yearly only1 set, 1 user1,000
Business$18 per set a month, billed yearlyUp to 50 sets, unlimited users1,500

Limits and features are from typefully.com/pricing. That page loads its prices in the browser, where my text tools couldn’t read them, so the amounts come from VoiceMoat and BestSocialMediaScheduler, which agree. Both also list Business at $20 per set on monthly billing; the text of Typefully’s page shows only “Billed yearly”. A HelloStack listing from September 24 put Creator at $120 a year; Hookpost read $99 off Typefully’s page on September 26. Many reviews still quote retired plans like Starter at $12.50 a month.

What each plan adds: Free has scheduling, limited media, the API and the MCP server. Creator adds X analytics, unlimited media and AI writing (the help center says Free gets a limited taste). Business adds shared drafts, comments, Slack alerts, team roles and higher API limits. Typefully doesn’t say whether the 1,500 posts count per set or across the whole subscription.

AI use is metered. Plans include an unpublished amount. Extra AI Usage is off by default and, once on, is billed monthly at token cost plus 20% (help), with an optional spending cap (terms).

Refunds: you can ask for one within 14 days of a charge, except for Extra AI Usage (terms). A cancelled account drops to Free at the end of the period and keeps its history.

What Typefully does

Typefully is an editor and publishing queue for posts and threads. You write a draft, check a preview for each network, then publish, schedule or queue it. It publishes to X (X Articles too, which need X Premium), LinkedIn, Threads, Bluesky, Mastodon and Substack Notes, and says Facebook, Instagram and TikTok are coming.

A new draft goes to every network in the social set, synced from one version, and you can unsync it to tailor each post. One calendar shows posts across all your sets. Extras include LinkedIn first comments and PDF carousels, and on X polls, scheduled retweets, automatic plugs and auto-DMs for giveaways.

On Business, teammates sign in with their own logins, so a ghostwriter can publish for a client without the client’s password, and drafts take comments with Slack alerts.

The Writing Assistant (February 2026) rewrites drafts, suggests hooks and adapts posts per network; the changelog says “No auto-posting. No mass-reply automation.” Builders get a public API and an MCP server, a standard way for AI assistants like Claude and ChatGPT to use other apps, plus an official Claude connector and Zapier.

Typefully doesn’t send email or contact anyone on LinkedIn: no connection requests or DM sequences to prospects.

Typefully strengths and drawbacks

Strengths

  • A clean editor. Product Hunt reviewers mostly praise the distraction-free interface and smooth workflow.
  • Cheap for one person. $99 a year buys 1,000 posts a month, and Free covers light use.
  • Open to automation. The API and an OAuth-based MCP server work on Free (MCP help).
  • Built for ghostwriting. Business has unlimited users, roles and shared drafts without shared passwords.
  • Steady shipping. The changelog shows about 20 releases from February to October 2026.

Drawbacks

  • No visual networks. No Instagram, TikTok or Facebook publishing, a gap reviewers on Product Hunt and SourceForge mention.
  • X-only analytics. The help center says analytics “only supports X for now”.
  • Pricing shape. Creator is yearly and single-user; Business is per set, which adds up for agencies with many brands.
  • Unpublished AI limits. Use beyond the included amount is billed on top, if you switch it on.

What Typefully users say

Typefully has no meaningful third-party rating as of October 2026. Product Hunt shows 4.7 from 22 reviews, half from founders of other products. G2 has one review, too few for G2 to give buying insight, Capterra has none and Trustpilot has no profile.

The praise is consistent: a clean interface and smooth writing. The complaints are missing Instagram support, a Best Time to Post feature one reviewer found “hit-and-miss”, and, in an older review, a paid plan “a little too high for the market”.

On size, co-founder Fabrizio Rinaldi’s site says 220,000+ creators use Typefully, while Typefully’s blog (December 2025) says “10,000+ customers”.

Who Typefully is for

Typefully fits people who write for an audience on X, LinkedIn, Threads or Bluesky: founders posting under their own name, writers building a habit, ghostwriters and small agencies running a few client brands. Developers can point an AI agent at the API or MCP server, even on Free.

Look elsewhere if your content is mostly images or video, or if you need LinkedIn analytics. And if the goal is meetings with specific buyers, posts mostly reach people who already follow you. I’d pair it with a tool that contacts prospects directly.

Alternatives to Typefully

Schedulers such as Hypefury, Buffer, Taplio and Ordinal show up in the same searches. I haven’t checked their pricing yet, so they aren’t listed. If you post on LinkedIn to find clients, these work the prospecting side:

  • LinkedIn Sales Navigator: LinkedIn’s paid prospect search, $119.99 a month for Core. See the Sales Navigator profile.
  • HeyReach: LinkedIn outreach across many accounts, $79 per sender a month. See the HeyReach profile.
  • Dripify: LinkedIn invites, messages and email steps in one sequence, $79 per seat a month. See the Dripify profile.
  • PhantomBuster: pulls lead data from LinkedIn and other sites, from $69 a month. See the PhantomBuster profile.
  • Reachkit (our product): emails the buyers who don’t follow you yet. Describe the campaign in a sentence, add verified leads from 500M+ profiles and send from your own inboxes or done-for-you ones ($5 an inbox a month plus $15 a year per domain), for $39 a month per workspace ($29 billed yearly). It doesn’t post to social networks. See pricing.

Typefully: common questions

How much does Typefully cost?

Typefully has a free plan, Creator at $99 a year (yearly billing only, one social set, one user) and Business at $18 per social set a month billed yearly, or $20 monthly, per two price checks of Typefully's page in October 2026. Reviews quoting $12.50 a month describe a retired plan.

Is Typefully legit?

Yes. Typefully is run by Typefully Inc., has been on Product Hunt since 2020 and publishes its terms, including refunds on request within 14 days of a charge. Review counts are small (22 on Product Hunt, one on G2 as of October 2026), so the free plan is a better test than ratings.

Does Typefully have a free plan?

Yes. It covers one social set and one user with 10 posts a month, scheduling, limited media, the API and the MCP server. X analytics and full AI writing need Creator. Typefully's help pages mention free trials, but its pricing page shows none for self-serve plans, so check there.

How does Typefully work?

You connect your accounts in a social set, write a post or thread in Typefully's editor, preview it per network and publish, schedule or queue it. It posts to X, LinkedIn, Threads, Bluesky, Mastodon and Substack Notes. Analytics cover X only, as of October 2026.

Can Typefully send LinkedIn messages or cold outreach?

No. Typefully publishes posts to your followers. It doesn't send connection requests, LinkedIn DM sequences or email; its only messaging feature is auto-DMs on X for giveaways. For outreach you'd add a LinkedIn tool such as HeyReach, or a cold email tool such as Reachkit, which is our product.

What are some alternatives to Typefully?

For scheduling, Hypefury, Buffer, Taplio and Ordinal come up in the same searches. If your posts are meant to win clients, prospecting tools sit next to Typefully rather than replacing it: Sales Navigator to find people on LinkedIn, or Reachkit, which is our product, to email verified leads.
