PhantomBuster pricing and review

PhantomBuster is a cloud automation platform that extracts lead data from LinkedIn and other sites and runs LinkedIn outreach, priced per workspace by hours of automation.

PhantomBuster at a glance

Reachkit makes a competing cold email tool, though not a scraper or a LinkedIn tool. Every price here was checked on October 15, 2026 against PhantomBuster’s own pricing page, pricing guide and help center.

PhantomBuster pricing

PhantomBuster pricing starts at $69 a month for the Start plan, or $56 a month billed yearly, and plans are priced per workspace, not per user. Yearly prices are from phantombuster.com/pricing on October 15, 2026; that page showed only yearly figures, so monthly prices come from PhantomBuster’s July 2026 pricing guide.

PlanMonthly / yearly (per month)Execution time and slotsEmail credits a month
Trial (14 days)Free2 hours in total, 5 slots50 in total
Start$69 / $5620 hours, 5 slots500
Grow$159 / $12880 hours, 15 slots2,500
Scale$439 / $352300 hours, 50 slots10,000

Yearly billing saves about 20% ($672 a year for Start against $828 paid monthly).

How the limits work. Execution time is the hours your automations run each month, shared by the whole workspace, and slots are how many run in parallel. A bigger plan doesn’t run anything faster. At the help center’s estimate of about a minute per profile, Start’s 20 hours cover roughly 1,200 LinkedIn profiles a month, scraping alone.

Credits. Credits reset monthly and don’t roll over, and an email credit is spent on every attempt, even when no address is found. When hours run out, automations pause until the reset or an upgrade, with no automatic overage charge and no mid-cycle top-up of hours. Add-on credit packs exist; we found no published prices.

Users. The pricing page says “Unlimited users” on every plan; a help center article says up to 100 workspace members.

Refunds. A monthly charge is refundable within 14 days only if nothing was used. Yearly plans are refundable within 30 days, minus one month at the monthly rate if you used anything (refund policy).

What a typical setup costs: one person building LinkedIn lists pays $69 a month on Start; a small team running daily workflows pays $159 on Grow. Sales Navigator automations also need LinkedIn’s own subscription, and emailing the leads needs a separate sending tool. Capterra’s listing still shows Starter, Pro and Team plans from $59 that don’t match the current page.

What PhantomBuster does

PhantomBuster runs automations in the cloud through your own logged-in accounts, so no browser tab has to stay open. Each Phantom does one job, such as exporting a LinkedIn search, and a Workflow chains several. You give it a search URL, a profile list or a CSV, set a schedule, and results land in a file or your CRM.

PhantomBuster sells no database. It says it only works with public data reached through your own accounts, so every list is pulled live.

A built-in email finder looks up addresses for the profiles you collect; the changelog credits its BetterContact waterfall with an “81% improvement over the best single-source providers”. Auto Connect sends LinkedIn invites with a note, and a separate LinkedIn Outreach Phantom sends follow-ups. AI Phantoms clean job titles and score leads.

Every plan includes a REST API and an MCP server, a standard way for AI assistants like Claude and ChatGPT to use other apps. Its help center names HubSpot, Salesforce and Pipedrive (the last two one-way) and Clay as direct integrations, with Make, Zapier and n8n for the rest.

PhantomBuster strengths and drawbacks

Strengths

  • Wide reach. 15+ platforms and 100+ ready-made automations on one account (pricing).
  • No seat fees. Plans differ by hours, slots and credits, not by headcount.
  • A real way to try it. A no-card trial, then a permanent if tiny Free plan.
  • Open to builders. The API and an OAuth sign-in MCP server come with every plan, the trial included.
  • Careful LinkedIn advice. Its help center says to start at 10 to 20 invites per working day, at most 10 per launch (Auto Connect guide).

Drawbacks

  • Automations need watching. G2’s AI review summary says workflows “can feel fragile at times” and the interface gets clunky across many tasks.
  • Limits are tight at full use. Hours can’t be topped up, credits vanish at the reset, and failed email lookups still cost a credit. One occasional G2 user said the end-of-2025 pricing change “significantly limited our usage”.
  • No email sending. It finds addresses, and its own blog says to “pass enriched lists to your email tool for sending”.

What PhantomBuster users say

PhantomBuster holds 4.4 out of 5 on G2 from 138 reviews and 4.5 on Capterra from 64 (read from search results), checked October 2026. Trustpilot shows a 3.3 TrustScore from 113 reviews (count from search results), down from the 3.8 PhantomBuster’s blog reported in November 2025.

G2 reviewers like how it automates repeat work around LinkedIn and Sales Navigator. Complaints center on automations that break (G2’s summary, Trustpilot) and, on Trustpilot, slow support and refunds refused after light use, as the written policy allows. PhantomBuster answers most negative Trustpilot reviews.

Who PhantomBuster is for

PhantomBuster fits founders, sales teams and agencies who want LinkedIn and web data collected on a schedule and don’t mind wiring tools together through its API, Make, Zapier or n8n.

Look elsewhere if you want LinkedIn messages and emails in one sequence, or would rather buy contacts from a database than extract them. Cold email is about 80% list, so I’d verify every address a scraper finds before it reaches a sending inbox. More in lead scraping for cold email.

Alternatives to PhantomBuster

  • HeyReach: LinkedIn outreach across many sender accounts in one campaign, $79 a sender a month. See the HeyReach profile.
  • Dripify: LinkedIn steps and emails from Gmail or Outlook in one sequence, $79 per seat a month. See the Dripify profile.
  • Clay: enrichment that chains many data providers in one table, and one of PhantomBuster’s integrations; Launch is $185 a month. See Reachkit vs Clay.
  • Apollo: a contact database to buy from instead of scraping, with a free plan and Basic at $49 per seat a month billed yearly. See the Apollo profile.
  • Reachkit (our product): sends cold email only, with no LinkedIn steps. A scraped CSV is verified on import (1 credit per 10 addresses), or Lead Finder supplies verified leads from 500M+ profiles; Growth is $39 a month with 1,000 lead credits. See Reachkit pricing.

PhantomBuster: common questions

Is PhantomBuster legit?

Yes. PhantomBuster is run by The Phantom Company, a French company founded in 2016 and based in Paris, which says it is profitable and founder-led. It holds 4.4 on G2 and 4.5 on Capterra, and a lower 3.3 TrustScore on Trustpilot, where complaints center on broken automations, support and refunds. Ratings checked October 2026.

How much does PhantomBuster cost?

PhantomBuster costs $69 a month for Start, $159 for Grow or $439 for Scale, or $56, $128 and $352 a month billed yearly. Plans differ by execution hours, slots and credits, not by users. Sales Navigator and a tool to send emails cost extra. Prices checked October 15, 2026.

Is there a free version of PhantomBuster?

Yes. The 14-day trial needs no credit card and includes 2 hours of execution time and 50 email credits. Afterwards the workspace drops to a Free plan with 30 minutes a month, 1 slot and 10-row exports, per PhantomBuster's help center and blog; the pricing page itself shows only the trial.

Is PhantomBuster legal?

PhantomBuster is legal software, and it says it only processes public data through your own accounts. Automating LinkedIn is another matter: LinkedIn's User Agreement bans bots and unauthorized automated methods, and PhantomBuster's terms make you solely responsible for each platform's rules, so accounts can be restricted. This isn't legal advice.

PhantomBuster vs Dripify: which is cheaper?

For one person they cost about the same: $69 a month for PhantomBuster Start against $79 for Dripify Pro. Dripify charges per LinkedIn seat, so five reps pay $395 a month on Pro, or $495 on Advanced for its team tools; PhantomBuster charges per workspace, with hours shared across everyone. Dripify runs LinkedIn and email steps in one sequence. Prices checked October 2026.

Sending cold email to the leads you collect?

Reachkit verifies your list, writes the sequence and sends it from your own inboxes, with AI warmup on each. Try the 30-day free trial, no card needed.
