Mixmax pricing and review
Mixmax is a Chrome extension that adds sequences, tracking, scheduling links and CRM logging to Gmail, sending from each user's own mailbox and priced by how many people each user sequences.
Mixmax at a glance
Reachkit makes a cold email tool, so it competes with Mixmax for some buyers. Every Mixmax price on this page was checked in October 2026 against Mixmax’s pricing page and help center.

Mixmax pricing
Mixmax pricing starts at $29 per user a month billed yearly for 100 recipients, with a free plan below that. There’s one paid plan, Mixmax Pro, and every paid step includes the same features. What changes is the number of recipients: people a user adds to a sequence in a calendar month.
| Recipients a month | Billed yearly | Billed monthly |
|---|---|---|
| 100 | $29 | $34 |
| 500 | $49 | $65 |
| 1,500 | $89 | $105 |
| 3,000 | $129 | $159 |
| 5,000 | $159 | $195 |
| 15,000 | $229 | $279 |
Prices are per user a month, as of October 2026. The pricing page shows only the 100, 1,500 and 3,000 steps; the other steps and every monthly price come from Mixmax’s help center. Past 15,000, you contact sales.
How recipients count. A person in a five-email sequence counts once; the same person in two sequences counts twice; one-off emails don’t count. Allowances reset monthly, don’t roll over and belong to each user, so a rep can’t borrow a manager’s unused room. Past the limit, follow-ups continue and new recipients wait as drafts.
Add-ons are $9 a month billed yearly or $12 monthly each, charged for every paid member of the workspace: Custom branding & domains (needed for a custom tracking domain), Advanced workspace rules and a Salesforce Insights Package. The dialer is billed per member plus usage, with no published rates.
What a typical setup costs: one person doing outreach full time on the 1,500 step, plus custom branding, pays $98 a month billed yearly ($1,176 a year) or $117 monthly. Five such reps, with no other paid members, cost $490 a month billed yearly. Your Google Workspace or Microsoft 365 seat is extra.
Yearly plans are paid up front and save 15 to 25%. Pages quoting a $9 Starter plan or separate Copilot plans describe older pricing.
What Mixmax does
Mixmax puts sales tools inside the Gmail window. You install the Chrome extension, sign in, and build sequences in Gmail or the web app. A sequence is a first email plus follow-ups, each sent from your own Gmail as a reply in the same thread, on weekdays in hours you pick, stopping when the person answers.
Around that sit open and click tracking, reminders, scheduling links, templates, AI meeting notes and automatic logging to Salesforce or HubSpot. LinkedIn steps are manual tasks, and calls placed from Mixmax use the paid dialer. Outlook users get an add-in for Outlook on the web (in Chrome) or recent Outlook for Windows.
Each user sends from one mailbox, under a daily limit for sequence email that an admin sets between 100 and 1,000 (500 by default). There’s no warmup, no inbox or domain setup and no contact database.
Mixmax also runs an MCP server, the protocol AI assistants use to work inside other apps, for Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor and Windsurf. It’s in beta at no extra cost. Reading is on by default; sending and editing sequences are opt-in, and Mixmax says nothing sends until you approve. There’s also a REST API with webhooks.
Mixmax strengths and drawbacks
Strengths
- Nothing new to learn. Sequences run from your existing Gmail as threaded replies that stop on a response; the homepage cites G2 badges for easiest setup and usability.
- Open pricing with a free tier. The free plan doesn’t expire, the trial asks for no card, and monthly billing is available (pricing).
- Pay per person’s reach. An SDR can sit on 1,500 recipients while a manager stays on 100 in the same workspace, and scheduling links and AI meeting notes come with every paid step.
- AI assistants can act. With writes switched on, the MCP beta builds sequences, adds recipients and sends tracked email (help center).
Drawbacks
- Not built for cold email at volume, by design. Mixmax sends through each user’s own Gmail rather than a bulk server, with no warmup; its deliverability guide advises a daily limit of 300 or less.
- No lead data. Contacts come from your own lists or CRM.
- Costs grow per person. More reach means a higher step for that user, and G2’s review summary lists “Expensive” among the top cons.
- Refund wording conflicts. The terms call all fees non-refundable; the help center rules out partial refunds on annual plans but allows some for billing errors or unused renewals. Deleting the extension doesn’t cancel a plan.
What Mixmax users say
Mixmax holds 4.6 out of 5 on G2 from more than 1,400 reviews and 4.6 on Capterra from about 235, as of October 2026. The Chrome Web Store lists 4.8 from 559 ratings. Reviewers like how it sits inside Gmail. Recurring complaints are price, feature limits and formatting problems or lost drafts, though many highlighted Capterra reviews date from 2018 to 2023, before today’s single plan.
Trustpilot shows 2.6 from just 10 reviews on a profile Mixmax hasn’t claimed, which Trustpilot warns may not be representative. One from February 2025: “They make billing very hard to understand and also impossible to cancel.” Ten unsolicited reviews and over a thousand on G2 measure different things, so I wouldn’t average them.
Who Mixmax is for
Mixmax fits people whose outreach happens one conversation at a time from their own Gmail: a founder chasing investors, an account executive following up after demos, a recruiter, or a small team that wants meetings booked and logged to the CRM without leaving the inbox.
Look elsewhere if you plan to email thousands of new people a month or need a contact database. My rule of thumb: once a plan needs more than the few hundred sends a day Mixmax recommends per user, it has become a cold email setup with separate domains and warmed inboxes, and Mixmax leaves that part to you.

How much does Mixmax cost?
Mixmax costs $29 to $229 per user a month billed yearly, or $34 to $279 monthly, depending on how many people that user sequences each month, from 100 to 15,000. Every paid step has the same features; add-ons are $9 per paid member a month billed yearly. Above 15,000, it's a quote. Checked October 2026.
Is there a free version of Mixmax?
Yes. Mixmax Free doesn't expire and needs no credit card. Each month it covers sequences to 50 people and 20 tracked emails, plus reminders, templates and scheduling links. The 14-day trial unlocks the 1,500-recipient step with every feature, then moves you to Free.
How does Mixmax work?
Mixmax is a Chrome extension for Gmail, with an Outlook add-in. Sequences go out from your own mailbox as replies in the same thread and stop when the person answers. Tracking, scheduling links and templates sit in the inbox, and activity can be logged to Salesforce or HubSpot.
Mixmax vs GMass: what's the difference?

Mixmax charges per user by monthly recipients and adds meeting notes, native Salesforce and HubSpot sync and an Outlook add-in. Prices checked October 2026.
