Mailshake pricing

Mailshake pricing starts at $29 a month per seat, and the plan decides how many mailboxes each seat can send from. Prices are from mailshake.com/pricing as of October 2026.

Seats and mailboxes. Billing “is based on how many users you purchase”, and Mailshake’s pages disagree on what a seat covers. The plan cards show 1, 2 and 10 addresses, the help center says up to five per user on Sales Engagement, and the pricing FAQ says one mail account per paid user.

Included: unlimited contacts, warmup and list cleaning plus the SHAKEspeare AI writer on every plan. Email Outreach adds rotation and the Lead Catcher reply inbox, plus CRM syncs on the pricing card (the integrations page says every tier gets them). Sales Engagement adds a power dialer, free calls to North American numbers and a 1:1 onboarding call.

Extras: Data Finder, the lead search tool, is $19 a month ($17 yearly) for what its page calls unlimited credits. Ready to Use Mailboxes are $12 a month ($11 yearly) for one domain with five mailboxes.

What a typical setup costs (monthly billing, before tax): a founder sending about 4,000 emails a month from 10 mailboxes to 1,500 new prospects is past Starter. With their own mailboxes, that’s five Email Outreach seats ($245) or one or two Sales Engagement seats ($99 or $198, depending on which allowance holds). Taken literally, the FAQ’s one mailbox per seat would mean ten Email Outreach seats ($490). If bought mailboxes count toward seats, two packs ($24) and up to $19 for Data Finder bring Sales Engagement to $123 to $241 a month (Data Finder adds nothing only if the 2,500 included credits renew monthly); if they don’t, Email Outreach with two packs and Data Finder is $92. Mailshake doesn’t say which.

What Mailshake does

Mailshake runs email sequences through Google, Microsoft or SMTP mailboxes you connect, so mail goes out through your provider, not Mailshake’s servers. You set up domains and DNS from its guides, or buy Ready to Use Mailboxes, where Mailshake registers the domain and sets SPF, MX and DKIM.

Warmup runs on a network of addresses Mailshake owns, which reply automatically. Rotation spreads a campaign over up to 50 addresses, and the sending guide ramps a new address from 20 emails a day toward a ceiling of 100. Opens and clicks are tracked by default, and tracking can be turned off per campaign.

From Email Outreach up, replies land in Lead Catcher, which by default turns anyone who replies into a lead and stops their follow-ups. SHAKEspeare writes a six-email sequence from a description of what you sell, your website and case studies, in English only.

On Sales Engagement, a sequence can mix email with calls and LinkedIn steps. The help center treats LinkedIn steps as tasks you paste in yourself; automated LinkedIn messages left the pricing card in mid-2026, though the homepage still advertises social automation. The REST API has webhooks, but an API-created campaign can’t send until someone finishes setup in the app. As of October 2026 there’s no official Mailshake MCP server, the standard AI assistants like Claude use to work with other apps.

Mailshake strengths and drawbacks

Strengths

  • Quick to learn. G2’s AI summary of reviews names ease of use and quick setup as the main benefits.
  • People to ask. Weekly office hours and live training, plus a 1:1 onboarding call on Sales Engagement.
  • Deliverability basics included. Warmup and list cleaning are unlimited on every plan.
  • Calls in the same tool. The $99 plan’s dialer and phone scripts cover the phone channel.
  • Established integrations. Native Salesforce, HubSpot and Pipedrive syncs, plus an API with webhooks.

Drawbacks

  • Mailboxes cost seats. Going from 2 to 10 mailboxes on Email Outreach means going from one seat to five, even for one person. A Reddit poster’s verdict: “…works, but the pricing adds up quickly.”
  • No way to try it first. No trial or free plan, and its pricing explained doc rules out refunds on cancellation.
  • Rules, not AI, on replies. Mailshake’s docs show no AI reading replies, and G2’s AI summary lists a lack of AI automation among the cons.
  • Gaps in the docs. As of October 2026, Mailshake doesn’t say which provider runs its bought mailboxes, who owns their domains, or what happens to them if you cancel.

What Mailshake users say

Mailshake scores 4.7 out of 5 on Trustpilot from 100 reviews and 4.7 on G2 from 376, as of October 2026. Reviewers mostly praise ease of use and support; a March 2026 Trustpilot review says “Andrea and Ismael will always respond promptly…”. An October 2026 review credits Mailshake with keeping its mail out of spam.

The complaints are about cost and polish: price as mailbox counts grow, flows that take extra clicks (a February 2026 Trustpilot review), and bugs and limits with larger volumes of data in G2’s summary. Two older Trustpilot reviews, from 2023 and 2024, object to the no-refund policy.

Who Mailshake is for

Mailshake fits a small sales team that wants email, calls and LinkedIn tasks in one sequence and works in Salesforce or Pipedrive. It also suits a solo seller with one or two mailboxes, where seats barely show: $49 covers two mailboxes, Lead Catcher and the CRM syncs.

Look elsewhere if you’ll send from 10 or more mailboxes, want to test before paying, or want AI to sort replies. If you do buy, I’d start on monthly billing: yearly plans are prepaid with no refunds, and campaign data is deleted 30 days after the subscription ends.

Alternatives to Mailshake

  • lemlist: email, LinkedIn and calls in one sequence, $109 per user a month on Multichannel. See the lemlist profile.
  • Reply.io: email, LinkedIn and call steps on a $99-per-user plan. See the Reply.io profile.
  • Instantly: a sender from $47 a month with no per-inbox fee; answering replies in its Unibox takes the $97 plan. See the Instantly profile.
  • Woodpecker: priced by prospects contacted, from $35 a month for 500, with no per-user or per-mailbox fee. See Reachkit vs Woodpecker.
  • Reachkit (our product): priced per workspace, so adding an inbox never adds a seat. Growth is $39 a month with unlimited teammates, free connected inboxes and 1,000 lead credits a month. Reachkit can also register domains ($15 a year) and set up Google or Microsoft inboxes ($5 a month each) that start warmup on their own. No dialer, LinkedIn steps or Salesforce sync. See Reachkit vs Mailshake.

Mailshake: common questions

Is Mailshake legit?

Yes. Mailshake is run by Mailshake, LLC in Austin, Texas, was founded in 2015 by Sujan Patel and Bob Senoff, and holds 4.7 out of 5 on both Trustpilot (100 reviews) and G2 (376 reviews) as of October 2026. Reviewers praise its ease of use and support. Complaints center on cost as mailboxes grow and bugs and limits with larger volumes of data, and Mailshake gives no refunds.

How much does Mailshake cost?

Mailshake costs $29 a month per seat for Starter, $49 for Email Outreach and $99 for Sales Engagement, or $25, $45 and $85 a month billed yearly, as of October 2026. Agency pricing comes from sales. Each seat covers a fixed number of mailboxes, so more mailboxes mean more seats. Data Finder ($19 a month) and Ready to Use Mailboxes ($12 a month per pack of five) cost extra.

Does Mailshake have a free plan or free trial?

No. As of October 2026 Mailshake has neither and takes payment up front. You can cancel before renewal, but Mailshake gives no refunds, full or pro-rated, and deletes campaign data 30 days after the subscription ends.

Is Mailshake or Instantly better?

They suit different teams. Instantly's plans carry no per-inbox fee, from $47 a month, which fits sending from many inboxes, though answering replies in its Unibox takes the $97 plan. Mailshake starts at $29 per seat with mailboxes tied to seats, and adds a power dialer, LinkedIn tasks and a native Salesforce sync. Reachkit, which is our product, is a third option with flat per-workspace pricing from $39 a month.

Sending from more than two mailboxes?

Reachkit charges per workspace, not per seat. Connect your own inboxes at no fee, or have Reachkit register the domains and set up Google or Microsoft inboxes for $5 a month each. Try it free for 30 days, no card.
