Freshsales pricing and review
Freshsales is the sales CRM from Freshworks, priced per user, with calling, chat, email and sales sequences built in.
Freshsales at a glance
Reachkit makes a competing cold email tool. Every Freshsales fact here was checked in October 2026 against Freshworks’ own pricing pages, help center and terms, and third-party figures are marked as such. I wrote this page from those public sources, not from a Freshsales account.

Freshsales pricing
Freshsales pricing starts at $9 a user a month on Growth billed yearly, and sales sequences start on Pro at $39. Yearly prices are from Freshworks’ pricing page, checked October 2026. The page’s monthly figures didn’t load when I checked, so that column is approximate, from trackers such as EmailToolTester (June 2026).
| Plan | Yearly (per user/mo) | Monthly (third-party) | What it adds |
|---|---|---|---|
| Growth | $9 | about $11 | Kanban pipelines, lifecycle stages, phone, chat and email, basic workflows |
| Pro | $39 | about $47 | Sales sequences, Freddy AI contact scoring and deal insights, territories |
| Enterprise | $59 | about $71 | Forecasting insights, custom modules, sandbox, audit logs |
The free plan is unclear. The main pricing page shows no Free plan, though its search description still mentions one, while Freshworks’ plan comparison page and help articles describe Free for up to 3 users. The 21-day trial needs no card; after it, the pricing FAQ says the account is suspended unless you pick a plan.
Add-ons: the Freddy AI Agent, a website chatbot, costs $49 per 100 sessions after 500 free sessions granted once per account. Branded documents cost $19 a user a month. Freshworks’ Freddy pricing article lists a Copilot price for Freshdesk and Freshchat, not for Freshsales.
Contract: plans renew automatically unless you give written notice at least 30 days before the term ends, and fees are non-refundable except where Freshworks’ terms allow.
What a typical setup costs: five reps on Pro, the cheapest plan with sequences, pay $2,340 a year billed yearly, or about $235 a month billed monthly.
What Freshsales does
Freshsales stores contacts, accounts and deals, moves them through lifecycle stages and Kanban pipelines, and runs workflows on top. Reps call in one click, with logs and recordings, and answer chat and WhatsApp in the same place.
Email has daily caps per active user, pooled across the account, per Freshworks’ email limits article. Bulk email allows 250 a day per user on Growth, 1,000 on Pro and 5,000 on Enterprise. The same article says a connected Gmail or Office 365 mailbox sends up to 300 emails before sending switches to Freshworks’ own servers.
Sales sequences mix emails, call reminders, tasks and SMS: 10 sequences per user on Pro and 25 on Enterprise, at 1,000 or 2,000 sequence emails per user a day. Stopping on a reply is an exit rule you switch on, and the sequences guide says an outbound sequence can’t be edited or paused once it starts.
Freddy AI scores contacts on Pro and adds forecasting on Enterprise. The REST API allows 1,000 requests per hour per account. Freshworks has no official Freshsales MCP server (MCP is a standard way for AI assistants like Claude and ChatGPT to use other apps); the one in its help center serves Freshdesk, and third-party servers wrap the Freshsales API.
Freshsales strengths and drawbacks
Strengths
- Low, public prices. Paid plans start at $9 a user a month billed yearly, with no sales call. Some G2 reviewers frame it as cheaper than HubSpot or Salesforce.
- Easy to learn. Ease of use is its highest G2 sub-score, at 9.0 out of 10, and PCMag’s July 2026 review called it “an easy-to-use CRM with all the tools a business needs”.
- Phone, chat and email together. Calling with recordings and several chat channels sit inside the CRM, not in separate apps.
- Fits the Freshworks stack. Native links to Freshdesk and Freshsuccess suit teams already on Freshworks support tools.
Drawbacks
- Automation costs $39 a user. Growth has no sales sequences, so automated follow-ups mean Pro.
- Rigid outbound sequences. Once started they can’t be paused; Freshworks’ workaround is to clone them.
- Support complaints. They repeat on G2, Capterra and Trustpilot, even though G2’s support sub-score is a solid 8.8; one July 2026 Trustpilot reviewer wrote, “We reported a Freshsales defect in 2025, and it remains unresolved.”
- Not a cold email sender. Its docs describe no warmup or inbox rotation, and the Freshworks acceptable use policy bans “sending unsolicited emails to significant numbers of email addresses” of people with no prior relationship to you.
What Freshsales users say
As of October 2026, Freshsales rates 4.5 out of 5 on G2 from about 1,200 reviews and 4.5 on Capterra from about 620, both read from search results because the sites blocked direct checks. Its Trustpilot page shows 1.3 from 120 reviews, but that profile mixes Freshsales, Freshdesk and other Freshworks reviews.
Fans praise the price and the ease of use. Complaints that come back are slow fixes from support, weak reporting, and the mobile app and login. A Reddit thread asks whether it’s “any good or just a cheap HubSpot”; one user there, eight months in after leaving Pipedrive, calls it “fine?”
Who Freshsales is for
Freshsales fits small and mid-sized sales teams that call, chat and email from their CRM and want a low per-user price, plus teams already on Freshdesk or Freshchat. Most will end up on Pro, where sequences and AI scoring start.
Look elsewhere if you need automated follow-ups on an entry plan, or if the main job is cold email to new lists. My rule for pairing any CRM with cold email: the CRM starts at the reply. Cold lists stay in the sender, where bounces and unsubscribes get handled, and only people who answer get a record and a deal.
Alternatives to Freshsales
- Zoho CRM: a similarly low-cost per-user CRM, free for up to 3 users, with paid plans from $14 a user billed yearly. See the Zoho CRM profile.
- HubSpot: its free CRM holds up to 1,000 contacts, but sequences sit in Sales Hub Professional, $90 a seat a month on yearly billing, with a $1,500 one-time onboarding charge. See Reachkit vs HubSpot.
- Pipedrive: a pipeline-first CRM with no free plan, from $14 a seat billed yearly for US visitors. See the Pipedrive profile.
- Close: a CRM built around calling, with calls and texts on every plan, from $9 a month billed yearly for a single user. See the Close profile.
- Reachkit (our product): cold email for new lists, $39 a month per workspace, no seat fees, AI warmup included, and replies stop the sequence by default. No native Freshsales sync; on Scale ($99), Reachkit’s webhooks plus the Freshsales API can turn replies into records.
Freshsales: common questions
How much does Freshsales cost?
Freshsales costs $9, $39 or $59 a user a month billed yearly for Growth, Pro and Enterprise, per Freshworks' pricing page in October 2026. Third-party trackers put monthly billing at about $11, $47 and $71. Sequences start on Pro, so five reps who need them pay $2,340 a year.
Does Freshsales have a free plan?
It depends on the page. As of October 2026, Freshworks' main pricing page shows no Free plan, while its plan comparison page and help articles still describe Free for up to 3 users. Freshworks offers a 21-day trial with no credit card.
Is Freshsales a good CRM?
For small sales teams on a budget, mostly yes. It holds 4.5 out of 5 on G2 and Capterra as of October 2026, with price and ease of use praised most. Common complaints are slow support, thin reporting and the mobile app. Its 1.3 Trustpilot score comes from a profile shared with Freshdesk.
Are Freshsales and Freshworks the same?
No. Freshworks is the company, a Nasdaq-listed software maker founded in Chennai, India, in 2010 and now based in San Mateo, California. Freshsales is its sales CRM, and Freshsales Suite is the same CRM at the same plan prices with 500 marketing contacts added.
Can you send cold email from Freshsales?
Only in a limited way. Bulk email is capped at 250 to 5,000 a day per user by plan, and the docs describe no warmup. Freshworks' acceptable use policy also bans unsolicited email to large numbers of people you have no relationship with, so cold outreach usually runs from a separate sender.
Freshsales vs HubSpot: which is cheaper?
Freshsales, for most small teams that need sequences. They start on Freshsales Pro at $39 a user a month billed yearly, while HubSpot puts them in Sales Hub Professional at $90 a seat billed yearly plus a $1,500 onboarding fee. Prices checked October 2026.
