folk CRM pricing and review
folk is a relationship-focused CRM for startups and small businesses. It pulls contacts from LinkedIn, email and WhatsApp into shared groups, sends email campaigns, and charges per member.

folk CRM pricing
folk CRM pricing starts at $24 per member a month on Standard with yearly billing, or $30 month to month. Figures are from folk.app/pricing in USD before tax, October 2026. Contacts are unlimited on every plan.
| Plan | Yearly (per member/mo) | Monthly (per member) | Main limits |
|---|---|---|---|
| Standard | $24 | $30 | 2,000 emails per member a month, 1 synced account per member, 1 sending domain |
| Premium | $48 | $60 | 5,000 emails per member, 5 synced accounts per member, 3 domains, plus sequences, deals, dashboards and the API |
| Enterprise | From $80 | From $100 | Custom limits, group permissions, a dedicated account manager |
Pooled credits. Email finding (500 a month on Standard, 1,000 on Premium) is shared by the whole workspace. An email costs 1 credit and a phone number 4. A Premium sequence needs message credits for every step before it starts: three steps to 200 contacts means 600.
The fine print. folk takes credit cards only, renews automatically and its terms make fees non-refundable. Its pages disagree twice: the pricing page lists unlimited members while the hard limits page caps a workspace at 100, and the pricing page gives Enterprise a floor price while the help center says it’s quoted.
Older prices. A price tracker recorded monthly prices of $25 and $50 in late 2025. Pages quoting $20 and $40, including folk’s own review article, show old yearly rates.
What a typical setup costs: three members on Standard pay $864 a year, or $90 a month billed monthly. Premium, needed for sequences and deals, raises that to $1,728 a year or $180 a month.
What folk does
folk stores people and companies in groups, viewed as a table or a kanban pipeline with your own fields. Deals and custom objects need Premium.
The folkX Chrome extension saves profiles from LinkedIn and Sales Navigator. Gmail and Outlook sync pulls in email and calendar history, and WhatsApp sync adds 12 months of direct chats. Email finding runs a waterfall across six data providers, Apollo.io and People Data Labs among them; folk says it works around 50 to 60% of the time.
You send from one of two sender types. A Gmail sender allows 125 emails a day from a personal address or 500 from Google Workspace, with no sequences and no open or bounce tracking. A custom domain sender routes mail through SendGrid, folk’s email provider, and unlocks Premium sequences of up to 10 steps that stop on a reply by default. Replies land in your own mailbox and show on the contact if that address is synced.
AI assistants handle follow-ups, recaps and research. A hosted MCP server (a protocol that lets assistants like Claude read and change data in other apps) arrived in July 2026; none of its tools sends email.
folk strengths and drawbacks
Strengths
- Quick to pick up. G2’s review summary says users “consistently praise the product for its ease of use and intuitive interface”, and Capterra rates ease of use 4.6 out of 5.
- Contacts from where you already talk. LinkedIn capture and Gmail, Outlook or WhatsApp sync are on Standard (one synced account per member).
- Enrichment billed on success. Credits come back when no email is found.
- Open to AI tools. The MCP server is listed on every plan, even though the REST API needs Premium.
Drawbacks
- Key features on Premium. Deals, sequences, dashboards and the API need the $48 to $60 plan; Lightfield, a competing CRM, counts the deal and API gates among folk’s hidden costs.
- Small credit pools. 500 email finds a month cover a whole Standard workspace.
- Light email reporting. Only custom-domain campaigns track opens and clicks; Gmail-sender campaigns track no opens, clicks or bounces.
- Not a cold email sender. It has no built-in warmup, and its deliverability guide and terms point to low-volume, opt-in sending.
What folk users say
As of October 2026, folk holds 4.5 out of 5 on G2 from about 320 to 340 reviews, 4.5 on Capterra from 46, and 4.0 on Trustpilot from 22. G2 and Capterra blocked direct checks, so their figures come from search results.
Praise centers on ease of use and enrichment; even a two-star July 2026 Trustpilot review called folk an “easy out of box crm, with strong enrichment features”, though “not useful in world of agents”. G2’s most tagged complaints are missing or limited features and integration issues, some small teams find the per-seat cost high, and support splits opinion. A gap older reviews often cite, a mobile app, closed in July 2026, and most G2 and Capterra reviews predate that.
Who folk is for
folk fits founders and small teams whose deals run on relationships: investors, partners, clients and warm leads met on LinkedIn, by email or on WhatsApp.
Look elsewhere if you plan to cold email new lists at volume: folk’s guidance and terms point the other way. If you cold email next to folk, I’d send from separate domains in a dedicated tool and bring only people who reply into folk.

As of October 2026, folk costs $24 per member a month on Standard and $48 on Premium with yearly billing, or $30 and $60 on monthly billing. Enterprise starts at $80 a member billed yearly or $100 monthly on the pricing page, while folk's help center describes it as quoted.
Does folk have a free plan?
No. folk offers a 2-week trial with Premium features and no credit card. If you don't upgrade, folk blocks the account but says the data isn't deleted right away. folk's pricing page shows no free tier, though its page title and cancellation FAQ still mention a free plan.
Is folk CRM good?
For small teams managing relationships, reviewers mostly say yes: folk holds 4.5 on G2 and Capterra as of October 2026, with praise for ease of use and enrichment. The usual complaints are missing features and deals, sequences and the API sitting on Premium.
Is folk legit?
Yes. folk started in the eFounders startup studio, now Hexa, and TechCrunch reported a $3.3 million seed round led by Accel in 2021; folk's own blog now says it raised $4.5 million. folk says 5,000+ companies use it and shows SOC 2 and GDPR badges.
Can you send cold email from folk?
folk isn't built for it. Its terms ask for opt-in consent from recipients, its deliverability guide advises fewer than 200 emails a day per address and no purchased lists, and it has no built-in warmup.
folk vs HubSpot: which is cheaper?
HubSpot has a free CRM tier for up to 1,000 contacts; folk has no free plan. For email sequences, folk Premium costs $48 a member a month billed yearly or $60 monthly, against $90 or $100 a seat for HubSpot Sales Hub Professional plus a one-time $1,500 onboarding fee. Prices checked October 2026.
