Voiceflow pricing and review
Voiceflow is a platform for building AI agents that handle customer service over chat and phone, billed as a plan fee plus editor seats and usage credits.
Voiceflow at a glance
Reachkit, which wrote this page, sells cold email software, not support agents. Voiceflow doesn’t post prices, so every figure here is dated and attributed, checked in October 2026 against its pricing page, billing docs and last pricing announcement.

Voiceflow pricing
Voiceflow pricing has three layers: a monthly plan fee, add-ons such as extra editor seats, and credits for usage. The public pricing page shows no prices, and the billing docs say prices appear only in the app’s Plans and Billing tab.
| Plan | Monthly | Billed yearly | Limits and features |
|---|---|---|---|
| Free | $0 | n/a | One-time credit grant, not for production |
| Pro | $60 | $54/mo | 20 projects, 2 workspaces, 5 concurrent calls |
| Business | $150 | $135/mo | Unlimited projects, 5 workspaces, 15 concurrent calls |
| Enterprise | Custom | Annual contract | SSO, private cloud, custom credits |
The prices are from Voiceflow’s April 2025 credits post, its last pricing announcement, and match what Macha, a competing support tool, saw in the app on September 19, 2026. Pro and Business limits are from Macha too. Each fee includes a monthly usage allowance: the 2025 post put it at 10,000 credits on Pro and 30,000 on Business, while Macha reported a dollar allowance equal to the fee. Check which applies in your account.
Usage. Third-party reviews that read Voiceflow’s credits table put a credit at $0.005: one per chat message and 10 per phone minute, with model tokens and speech on top, plus carrier fees on your own Twilio or Vonage numbers. When credits run out, auto top-ups buy more if you turned them on; otherwise calls are declined and admins get an email (since August 2026).
Extras. Extra editor seats cost $50 a month (the April 2025 price); viewers are free. Yearly billing takes 10% off the plan fee only, and Voiceflow’s terms, dated December 2023, make fees non-refundable.
A typical setup, our math: three editors cost $160 a month on Pro ($60 plus two $50 seats) or $250 on Business, assuming one editor is included (sources disagree on one or two). A chat agent handling 1,000 conversations of five messages each uses about $25 of credits before model tokens, within Pro’s allowance either way.
What Voiceflow does
Voiceflow gives support teams a visual canvas to build, test and run an AI agent. In agentic projects, the agent moves between Playbooks (open-ended instructions with a goal) and Workflows (fixed steps), calling tools and answering from a knowledge base built from your documents and URLs.
Agents run in a web chat widget, on the phone with Voiceflow, Twilio, Vonage or Telnyx numbers, over SMS, or anywhere else through the Conversations API. A handoff step passes a conversation to a human in another support tool, on every plan since September 2026.
Models come from the major providers or Voiceflow Core, its own model since May 2026. Developers get a REST API, webhooks and an MCP server, a standard way for AI assistants like Claude to work inside other apps.
Voiceflow isn’t a cold email tool: it has no bulk email sending, inbox setup, warmup or contact data.
Voiceflow strengths and drawbacks
Strengths
- Easy to build in. G2’s review summary says users “consistently praise” the interface and drag-and-drop building.
- Chat and voice together. One agent can run on web chat and phone, with four phone providers to choose from.
- Open to developers. The MCP server can edit prompts, publish projects and pull transcripts, and agents can call outside MCP servers themselves.
- Cost controls. A cap on cost per conversation, a maximum call length and a spend breakdown, all added in 2026 per the changelog.
Drawbacks
- No public prices. You need an account or a sales call to see the price.
- Usage is hard to forecast. Plan fee, seats, credits and model tokens stack up. A third-party count of G2 cons finds “Usage Limitations” 24 times, and one reviewer wrote in September 2026 that “the model tokens sometimes get used up too quickly”.
- Large projects get busy. A G2 reviewer says big flows feel “a bit cluttered” and complex paths take longer to debug.
What Voiceflow users say
Voiceflow scores about 4.5 out of 5 from roughly 115 reviews on G2, per third-party counts in October 2026. One reviewer without a coding background wrote: “I have no code experience and was still able to utilize webhooks and api calls without issue.” Capterra lists no reviews.
Trustpilot shows 4.1 from 15 reviews, 87% of them five stars, three from the past year. Support reports are mixed: most five-star reviews there praise it (“They help you in an instant.”), while both one-star reviews are about support, the latest in April 2026: “Terrible Support when launching the Agent.” A G2 reviewer also waited four days for support after going live.
Who Voiceflow is for
Voiceflow fits customer experience teams that want one agent across chat and phone, with handoff to their human team. Its agency track, with multi-client workspaces and client handoff tools, fits shops building support agents for clients.
Look elsewhere if you need a price before signing up, or want new pipeline rather than fewer support tickets. A support agent answers people who already found you. Outbound starts with the list, and in my experience the list decides most of the result.
Alternatives to Voiceflow
- Botpress: the tool Google pairs with Voiceflow in People Also Ask. We haven’t checked its pricing yet.
- Vapi: voice agents for developers, $0.05 a minute for hosting before model, voice and carrier costs. See the Vapi profile or Vapi vs Retell AI.
- Retell AI: phone agents with no platform fee, from $0.07 a minute. See the Retell AI profile.
- Artisan: Ava, an AI SDR for outbound email, from $280 a month. See the Artisan profile.
- Reachkit (our product): if you looked at Voiceflow to reach new prospects instead of answering customers, Reachkit does it by email. Write one sentence about who you want to reach; it drafts the sequence and finds verified leads, with 1,000 lead credits a month on the $39 Growth plan. It can also set up new Google or Microsoft inboxes ($5 each a month, plus $15 a year per domain) that start warming up on their own. It doesn’t build chat or voice agents or answer replies.
Voiceflow: common questions
How much does Voiceflow cost?
Voiceflow no longer lists prices publicly. Its last published prices, from April 2025, put Pro at $60 a month and Business at $150, and a third party saw the same figures in the app in September 2026. Usage credits, model tokens and extra editor seats ($50 a month each at the 2025 price) are billed on top. Enterprise is quoted by sales.
Is Voiceflow free to use?
Partly. Voiceflow has a Free plan with a one-time credit grant that doesn't renew, and its billing docs say it isn't suitable for production use. The agency track offers a free trial with no credit card. Running a live agent for customers means a paid plan from Pro up.
Is Voiceflow worth it?
For a support team that wants chat and phone agents in one builder, reviewers mostly say yes: about 4.5 on G2 from roughly 115 reviews as of October 2026. The common caution is cost: the bill combines a plan fee, seats and usage.
Is Voiceflow legit?
Yes. Voiceflow, Inc. is based in Toronto, was co-launched in 2019 by CEO Braden Ream, and had raised $35 million by 2023. It says it has more than 3,000 customers.
Can Voiceflow be used for outbound sales?
Voiceflow supports outbound calls and SMS, but it's built for customer service and has no contact data, bulk email sending or inbox warmup. For cold outreach by email, a sender fits better: Instantly, Smartlead, or Reachkit, which is our product and finds verified leads, writes the sequence and sends from warmed inboxes.
Want AI on the prospecting side?
Reachkit turns one sentence into a cold email campaign with verified leads, and sets up new inboxes that warm up on their own. Try it free for 30 days, no card needed.
