UpLead pricing
UpLead pricing starts at $99 a month for Essentials, and both self-serve plans have a published price. Figures below are from uplead.com/pricing on October 15, 2026, in USD.
| Plan | Monthly | Billed yearly | Credits |
|---|---|---|---|
| Essentials | $99 | $74/mo ($888 a year) | 170 a month, 2,040 a year |
| Plus | $199 | $149/mo ($1,788 a year) | 400 a month, 4,800 a year |
| Professional | Quote only | Yearly | Custom |
One credit buys one contact or one company. That covers the email plus any direct and mobile numbers, and it’s spent the first time you reveal a record, download it as a CSV or push it to a CRM. Searching is free, and downloading the same record again is free. Extra credits cost $0.60 each on Essentials and $0.50 on Plus.
Plans are single-user up to Plus. Essentials adds CRM integrations. Plus adds enrichment, technographics, advanced filters and suppression lists. Buyer intent data, full API access, two-way CRM sync and team management sit on Professional.
What a typical setup costs: one rep who needs about 300 new contacts a month can take Plus at $199, or Essentials plus 130 extra credits at $0.60, which comes to $177. A team of three or more needs Professional and a sales call.
What UpLead does
UpLead is a prospecting database: you filter people and companies in its Prospector search, then spend a credit to reveal each one you want. At that point UpLead verifies the email and labels it Valid, Accept All or Invalid. UpLead says a Valid email is “97%+ verified at the moment of download or export”.
You choose what you pay for. In “Valid Only” mode you’re charged for valid emails alone; the other two download modes also charge for accept-all or invalid ones. The API charges only for Valid or Accept All results.
UpLead puts its database at 208.5M contacts and 20.9M companies in its May 2026 release notes. It says the data comes from public documents, licensed third-party data, machine-learning checks and a research team. A Chrome extension works on websites and LinkedIn, and enrichment fills in CSV files or CRM records.
UpLead doesn’t send email itself. It pushes contacts to Salesforce, HubSpot, Pipedrive, Zoho and other CRMs, or to sequencers such as Outreach, Salesloft, Reply.io, Woodpecker, Mailshake and lemlist. It also sells a done-for-you cold email service, priced on request. No MCP server is documented.
UpLead strengths and drawbacks
Strengths
- Prices on the page. Essentials and Plus can be bought without talking to sales.
- Invalid emails can be free. Valid Only mode and the API skip charges for bad addresses (help center).
- One credit per contact, phones included, with no separate phone credits.
- An accuracy guarantee. UpLead promises 95% accuracy and returns credits if data falls below it (about page).
- A cheap pause. The $2-a-month Hibernation Plan keeps unused credits and saved searches.
Drawbacks
- The trial bills you if you forget. Per the trial agreement, you’re enrolled and charged when the 7 days end unless you cancel, and the help center says the default plan is Essentials Annual, $888 by the prices above.
- Renewal terms differ by page. The terms ask for 60 days’ notice before any renewal; the help center says monthly plans cancel anytime. Fees are non-refundable.
- Credits may expire. The terms call plan credits “use it or lose it” at renewal, while a help article says remaining credits carry over when you downgrade.
- Teams go through sales. Only Professional supports more than one user.
What UpLead users say
UpLead holds 4.7 out of 5 on G2 from more than 820 reviews, 4.6 on Capterra from 76 and 4.2 on Trustpilot from 90 (October 2026). Reviewers praise ease of use, verified emails and not paying for invalid ones.
The complaints cluster around billing. G2’s summary mentions automatic subscriptions and upfront cost, a June 2026 Trustpilot review describes a charge of close to £700 after trying to cancel a trial, and the BBB rates UpLead D+ with 7 complaints in three years. Smaller themes: the 5 trial credits feel thin, and a few reviewers report contacts outside their filters or outdated company data.
Who UpLead is for
UpLead fits a solo rep or founder who wants a few hundred verified contacts a month at a listed price, without a contract negotiation. Paying only for valid emails suits anyone who exports straight into a sequencer.
Look elsewhere if several people need logins without a sales-led Professional deal, or if you’d rather not track renewal dates. If you try it, decide which plan you want before day 7 and set it yourself, so the trial doesn’t pick Essentials Annual for you. For cold email, download in Valid Only mode: an accept-all address can’t be confirmed before you send to it.

Is UpLead legit?
Yes. UpLead, LLC is a California company founded in 2017, rated 4.7 on G2 from more than 820 reviews and 4.2 on Trustpilot as of October 2026. Most complaints are about billing rather than the data: the trial converts to a paid plan unless cancelled, and the terms ask for 60 days' notice before a renewal.
Does UpLead have a free trial?
UpLead has a 7-day free trial with 5 credits, and no free plan. The trial agreement says you're charged for a plan when the trial ends unless you cancel first, and UpLead's help center says accounts that don't pick a plan move to Essentials Annual. The trial agreement says to cancel by emailing UpLead (team@uplead.com) before the trial ends.
What is UpLead and how does it work?
UpLead is a B2B database of contacts and companies. You search with filters for free, then spend one credit to reveal a contact's email and phone numbers. The email is verified at that moment and labelled Valid, Accept All or Invalid, and you can choose to pay only for valid ones. Contacts export to CSV, a CRM or a sequencer.
UpLead vs ZoomInfo: which should I pick?
UpLead suits one person who wants verified emails at a published price from $99 a month. ZoomInfo is sold through sales on yearly contracts, with a $33,500 median per Vendr, and goes deeper on company, phone and intent data for larger teams. UpLead itself says it doesn't have the biggest database in the market.
