Emailable pricing
Emailable pricing starts at $38 for 5,000 credits, the minimum purchase, and one credit checks one address. Subscriptions cost 15% less, refill monthly, quarterly or yearly, and can be cancelled anytime (pricing page).
| Credits | Pay as you go | Subscription | Per 1,000 |
|---|---|---|---|
| 5,000 | $38 | $32.30 | $7.60 |
| 10,000 | $60 | $51 | $6.00 |
| 25,000 | $141 | $119.85 | $5.64 |
| 50,000 | $245 | $208.25 | $4.90 |
| 100,000 | $420 | $357 | $4.20 |
| 250,000 | $750 | $637.50 | $3.00 |
| 500,000 | $1,350 | $1,147.50 | $2.70 |
| 1,000,000 | $2,100 | $1,785 | $2.10 |
Where the numbers come from: Emailable shows the 5,000 price on its pricing page and the 10,000 price in its ZeroBounce comparison. The tiers from 25,000 up load by JavaScript, so they come from third-party listings (VeriMails, May 2026; Software Finder, June 2026). Over 1 million credits is a sales call.
How credits are spent: each check costs 1 credit, an inbox placement report 100 and a blacklist check 5. Unknown results and duplicates within a list are credited back; Emailable lists no other exemption.
Expiry and refunds: the pricing page says credits “never expire”, and subscription credits roll over. The terms add that a suspended or deleted account “may lose all unused bulk or monthly credits”, and payments aren’t refundable outside cases Emailable reviews within 30 days.
What a typical setup costs: at about 1,500 new prospects a month, a $38 pack lasts over three months (roughly $11.40 a month). At 10,000 a month, it’s $51 by subscription, or $42 a month from a $420 pack of 100,000 (third-party price).
What Emailable does
Emailable checks whether an address can receive mail before you send to it. You upload a list, check one address, call the API, or add a real-time check to a signup form.
Every address gets a quality score from 0 to 100 and one of four states (result states). Keep deliverable ones, remove undeliverable ones, and retry unknowns, where the server didn’t answer. Risky can come from role, disposable or accept-all addresses; Emailable’s docs say it “does not always mean ‘do not send.’”
An accept-all (or catch-all) server takes mail for any name at the domain, so a normal check can’t confirm the person exists. Emailable says it settles some of these; the rest stay “Risky (Accept-All)”.
Inbox placement reports send to seed addresses at Gmail, Outlook and Yahoo and check SPF, DKIM and DMARC, alongside blacklist monitors. The homepage claims 50+ app integrations; the docs list 21 native ones, mostly marketing tools like Mailchimp and Klaviyo, plus Zapier and Make. The API has Ruby, Node.js and Python libraries. There’s no official MCP server, the standard way AI assistants like Claude connect to apps, but an agents page offers a skill for Claude Code and Codex, installed by a free, open-source tool.
Emailable strengths and drawbacks
Strengths
- Credits that wait. Pay-as-you-go credits don’t expire and subscription credits roll over, which suits occasional list cleaning.
- No charge for non-answers. Unknown results and in-list duplicates are credited back.
- Self-serve to 1 million. No add-ons or contract, and API test keys use no credits.
- Few wrong calls. In a July 2026 test by ZeroBounce, a competing verifier, Emailable gave a wrong verdict on only 0.79% of 9,901 hard addresses (benchmark).
Drawbacks
- Hard lists leave many addresses unresolved. The same test found Emailable called 34.2% of addresses catch-all, the most of nine tools. Hunter, another verifier vendor, ranked it 8th of 15 (59.93%) on about 3,000 addresses in November 2025 (benchmark).
- No refund listed for Risky results. Only unknowns and duplicates are named, so a list heavy in accept-all domains likely costs full price and still leaves you deciding.
- The terms are written for opt-in lists: “You must not use Emailable for verifying purchased/rented email lists, or email lists collected from the Internet.”
- Two versions of the guarantee. The homepage promises at most 1% bounces on deliverable results. The guarantee page says 97%+ for Microsoft-hosted addresses and 99%+ for others, on 1,000+ opt-in addresses mailed within 24 hours.
What Emailable users say
Emailable rates 4.8 out of 5 on G2 from 277 reviews and 4.7 on Capterra from 333, per search-engine summaries in October 2026. G2’s summary leads with ease of use; value is Capterra’s lowest sub-score at 4.6.
Trustpilot shows 1.9, “Poor”, from 262 reviews on October 15, 2026. Most reviews there are five stars, but the one review from the last 12 months is a one-star (July 2026) about a broken Brevo integration, and Trustpilot weighs recent reviews more.
Billing and price are the repeat complaints, and G2’s summary names pricing as the main downside. A Trustpilot reviewer who bought the wrong product and asked to switch within an hour called Emailable “completely inflexible”, and the Brevo reviewer says a refund was refused.
Who Emailable is for
Emailable fits marketers and online stores cleaning opt-in lists before they go into Mailchimp, Klaviyo or a similar tool, and teams that want signup forms checked at the door.
Look elsewhere if your lists are bought, rented or pulled from the web, which the terms rule out, or if most prospects sit on company domains that accept all mail.
My practitioner note: Risky is a bucket, not a verdict. Decide before you upload what you’ll do with accept-all addresses, since you pay to check them and the send decision stays with you. Holding them out of your first sends and watching bounces is the cautious route.
Alternatives to Emailable
- ZeroBounce: packs from $39 for 2,000, 100 free checks a month for business-domain signups, and verdicts on many Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace catch-alls, per an update ZeroBounce announced in June 2026. See the ZeroBounce profile.
- NeverBounce: a ZoomInfo-owned verifier at $8 per 1,000 or $50 for 10,000, with pay-as-you-go credits valid for 12 months. See the NeverBounce profile.
- Hunter: finding, verifying and sending in one tool, with 50 free credits a month and half a credit per check. See the Hunter profile.
- Reachkit (our product): a cold email platform, not a standalone verifier. For cold outreach lists, it verifies CSV imports at 1 credit per 10 addresses, holds catch-all ones for your decision, and pauses campaigns at 5% bounces. No signup-form checks, placement reports or blacklist monitoring.
Emailable: common questions
Is Emailable legit?
Yes. Emailable is a New York-based email verification company, established in 2017 by its own account, that bought DataValidation in 2021. As of October 2026 it rates 4.8 on G2 from 277 reviews and 4.7 on Capterra from 333. Trustpilot shows 1.9 from 262 reviews, with only one review in the past 12 months.
How much does Emailable cost?
As of October 2026, Emailable charges $38 for 5,000 credits pay as you go or $32.30 on a subscription, and $60 or $51 for 10,000. Third-party listings show $420 for 100,000 and $2,100 for 1 million. One credit checks one address.
Is Emailable free to use?
There's no free plan. New accounts get 250 free credits once, and API test keys return sample responses without spending credits. After that, the smallest purchase is 5,000 credits for $38, and those credits don't expire.
Can I use Emailable on a cold email list?
Read the terms first. They don't name cold email, but they bar verifying purchased or rented lists or lists collected from the Internet, and validating any form of unsolicited communication. The deliverability guarantee also covers only addresses from your own opt-in source.
Emailable vs ZeroBounce: which is cheaper?
Emailable is cheaper at 10,000 checks: $60 pay as you go against $129 at ZeroBounce, as of October 2026. Neither charges for unknown results. ZeroBounce adds 100 free checks a month for business-domain signups, and its own July 2026 test scored it 98.02% accurate to Emailable's 61.79%, though ZeroBounce sells the rival product.
Verifying a list for cold outreach?
Reachkit checks imported lists, holds catch-all addresses for you to decide on, and sends the campaign from the same place. Try it free for 30 days, no card needed.
