Data Axle pricing

Data Axle pricing starts at $99 a month for Salesgenie Basic, its lead app for small businesses, and you commit to 12 months. There is no single price list: four product lines publish prices, and the rest go through sales.

Salesgenie (buying options):

PlanPriceUsersFirst 12 months
Basicfrom $99/mo1$1,188
Pro$149/mo1$1,788
Team$2995 included$3,588 if monthly

The Team card shows no billing period; third-party pages read it as monthly. Salesgenie’s feature list includes in-app access to 19.5 million businesses and 255 million consumers. Exports and email reveals are marked “Uses credits”, at a price Salesgenie doesn’t publish, and third-party pages disagree on whether Basic exports at all. Buyer Intent adds $50 a month: Salesgenie’s page shows it on all three plans, ZoomInfo’s pricing summary on Team only. After 12 months, plans renew month to month.

Developer Hub APIs (rates), per 1,000 records at 3,001 to 100,000 a month: business $50 (Standard) or $75 (Enhanced), consumer from $25 or $50, add-ons such as email from $30. So 10,000 business contacts with emails start at $800.

Credit Solutions (plans): $17.95 per business credit report, or $195 a month ($179 billed yearly). Google ranked it first for “data axle pricing” in October 2026, but it’s a credit check, not prospect data. Inboxable, an email deliverability platform and service, lists managed plans from $1,250 a month.

Quote only: list rental, data licensing, Audience360, SignalFuse, and Local Listings beyond 10 free listings. The “$3,200 to $150,000” range quoted elsewhere comes from a small Vendr sample of Infogroup deals, and “$79 to $209 a month” dates from Salesgenie’s 2019 prices.

What Data Axle does

Data Axle collects and sells data on U.S. and Canadian businesses, and on consumers. Founded in 1972, it has traded as American Business Information, infoUSA and Infogroup, and took the Data Axle name in 2020.

The database size depends on the page. Data Axle’s business data page claims 90M+ business profiles, 19.5M+ of them premium verified, and 183M+ business contacts; consumer counts run from roughly 255 to 310 million. More than 300 data experts make 25 million verification calls a year, Data Axle says.

In Salesgenie you filter by firmographics, demographics and intent, and spend credits to export records or reveal emails. It adds lead management, email and direct mail campaign tools. The APIs cover search, record matching, change updates and file delivery, with pre-built integrations for Salesforce and Microsoft Dynamics.

SignalFuse, launched in April 2026, is a quote-only AI layer that lets teams ask plain-language questions across their own data and Data Axle’s. No Data Axle MCP server (a standard way for AI assistants like Claude to use other apps) was found as of October 2026.

Data Axle strengths and drawbacks

Strengths

  • Small-business coverage. Data Axle calls its small and mid-sized business coverage “the industry’s most complete”, backed by phone verification at scale (business data).
  • Consumers and businesses in one place, with direct mail tools in the same Salesgenie app.
  • Published API rates. Per-1,000 rates and package contents are public, so you can price a project before a sales call.
  • People you can reach. Salesgenie includes an account strategist by phone, chat and email, and Trustpilot reviewers often thank reps by name.
  • Track record. In business since 1972, and a Forrester Wave Leader among B2B data providers in Q1 2026.

Drawbacks

  • A 12-month commitment. Salesgenie’s first subscription “lasts for 12 months”, billed monthly, and you can cancel only after it.
  • Credits priced off the page. You can add “any number of monthly credits”, but no rate is published.
  • The guarantee skips email. Salesgenie refunds $0.40 per bad record above 8%, but “Lists purchased for fax and email purposes are not covered” (terms).

What Data Axle users say

Ratings are split by brand. On Trustpilot, Data Axle USA holds 4.3 from 971 reviews and Salesgenie 4.1 from 564 (October 2026). Data Axle has claimed both profiles on a paid Trustpilot plan, and both invite reviews. On G2, Salesgenie by Data Axle shows 4.3 from more than 300 reviews, and the separate Data Axle listing 4.1 from 22.

Praise centers on helpful reps, often named, and the depth of the data. Three complaints repeat. Accuracy: on Data Axle USA’s Trustpilot page, a July 2026 reviewer put “the inaccuracy rate” on educational data at “about 80 to 90%” (and says they were refunded), and an April 2026 reviewer said most emails bounced. Contracts: an August 2026 reviewer objected to only “renting” the data and buying it again each year. Extra costs: G2 reviewers say downloads and the email feature cost extra beyond the monthly fee.

Who Data Axle is for

Data Axle fits small businesses selling to local companies or households by mail, phone and email, who want one vendor for lists and campaigns and accept a yearly commitment. Developers who need U.S. business or consumer records can buy through the API at published rates.

Look elsewhere if you mainly want B2B decision-maker emails, month to month. If you do export Salesgenie emails for cold email, verify them before the first send: the list guarantee excludes email, and bounces damage the inbox you send from.

Data Axle: common questions

How much does Data Axle cost?

Salesgenie, Data Axle's lead app, costs from $99 a month for Basic, $149 for Pro and $299 for Team with 5 users (third-party pages read Team's price as monthly), on a 12-month first term, with credits for exports extra. Developer Hub APIs cost $25 to $75 per 1,000 records. Lists and enterprise products are quoted by sales. Checked October 2026.

Is Data Axle a legit company?

Yes. Data Axle was founded in 1972, has traded as American Business Information, infoUSA and Infogroup, and says it serves more than 40,000 clients. Forrester named it a Leader for B2B marketing and sales data providers in Q1 2026. Some one-star Trustpilot reviews from around January 2026 describe a crypto agent job that required payments; Data Axle replied that this isn't its practice, and they aren't about its data.

Does Data Axle have a free trial?

Salesgenie offers a free trial and says it doesn't ask for a credit card until you've decided it fits. It doesn't publish the trial length; some review sites say three days. No free plan is listed, and the Developer Hub API pages don't mention a trial.

Is Salesgenie the same as Data Axle?

Salesgenie is Data Axle's lead app for small businesses, built on Data Axle's business and consumer databases. Since January 2026, Data Axle USA, the company's list-buying site for small businesses, has been moving into Salesgenie.

What's a good Data Axle alternative for cold email?

Apollo pairs a B2B contact database with sequences and has a free plan. Reachkit, the cold email platform I run, finds verified leads at 1 credit each and sends from your inboxes, from $39 a month. Data Axle remains the better fit for consumer lists and direct mail.

Buying lists to send cold email?

Reachkit finds verified B2B leads, checks the lists you import and sends from warmed inboxes, month to month. Try it free for 30 days, no card.
