Bombora pricing and review
Bombora is a B2B data company selling account-level intent data, which flags companies whose research on a topic rises above their usual level. Every price is quoted through sales.
Bombora at a glance
Reachkit makes a cold email tool and sells no intent data. Every Bombora detail here was checked on October 16, 2026; Bombora publishes no prices, so every dollar figure is a labelled third-party estimate.

Bombora pricing
Bombora pricing isn’t published. There are no plans, prices or self-serve sign-up: bombora.com/pricing shows a page about its Data Co-op, and every product page ends in “Speak to an expert”, as of October 16, 2026.
What buyers report paying. Vendr, which tracks software purchases, puts the median at about $25,000 a year from 35 purchases, with deals from about $13,000 to $80,000 (updated February 2026). Its estimates, not purchase data, add $5,000 to $20,000 or more a year for API access and the same, once, for onboarding.
Contracts. Bombora publishes no subscription terms, and third-party buyers report annual contracts. Ad audiences follow a rate card that isn’t public (website terms). B2beacon, its campaign measurement product, runs “without a subscription”, Bombora says, with no price given.
Cheaper ways in. Several tools carry a smaller slice of Bombora data inside their own plans:
| Route | What you get | Cost |
|---|---|---|
| HubSpot, any plan | Company Surge on company records, up to 12 topics, since August 2026 | No Bombora account; inside HubSpot’s per-company tracking cost, paid in HubSpot Credits |
| Apollo | Apollo’s intent signals, from Bombora since June 2026 | Part of Apollo’s plans |
| Cognism Pro | Company Surge, up to 12 topics | Part of Cognism Pro (quote-only) |
| Explorium | A high, medium or low Bombora label per account, through Explorium’s MCP server | 2 Explorium credits per account |
These versions have fewer topics and no ad audiences; more than HubSpot’s included amount needs a paid Bombora plan, per its help article.
What a typical setup costs: a deal at Vendr’s $25,000 median plus its API estimate comes to roughly $30,000 to $45,000 a year, before first-year onboarding. Vendr puts 100 to 200 topics with standard CRM integrations at $40,000 to $80,000 a year.
What Bombora does
Bombora collects B2B research activity through a co-op of thousands of publishers, B2B brands and data providers that carry its consent-based tag. It counts 16B+ monthly events across 5M+ company domains, and says 86% of the co-op’s data is shared only with Bombora (home page).
Company Surge, the main product, compares a company’s last three weeks of activity on a topic with its own 12-week baseline and marks rises as early, mid or late-stage research (intent page). The topic list reached 25,378 with the “Quay” release on September 28, 2026, its fourth taxonomy update in a year (release notes).
The signal is about companies, not people: persona data adds traits such as role and seniority, without names, emails or phone numbers. Bombora also sells Visitor Insights, ad audiences on DV360, The Trade Desk, Amazon DSP and Reddit, B2beacon measurement and dashboards.
Data arrives by flat file, API or one of 100+ integrations, a Salesforce app among them. Bombora has no official MCP server, a standard way for AI assistants like Claude and ChatGPT to use other apps; its blog says it’s “building toward” one. Bombora sends no email: teams act on surges in a CRM, an ad platform or a sales tool.
Bombora strengths and drawbacks
Strengths
- Analyst standing. Forrester named Bombora a Leader in its Q1 2025 Wave for B2B intent data providers, with “the highest score possible in 10 evaluation criteria” (press release).
- Scores against each account’s own normal. A surge means more research than that company usually does, not raw volume.
- Clear sourcing. A consent-based tag on co-op sites, with most of the data exclusive to Bombora, by its own count.
- Easy to reach. HubSpot, Apollo, Cognism and others build it in, so you can try it without a Bombora contract.
Drawbacks
- No price before a sales call. Every deal is quoted, and buyers report yearly contracts.
- Companies, not contacts. Finding the people at a surging account and their emails takes another tool, a gap G2’s review summary also notes.
- Not every surge is a buyer. Researching products is part of many people’s jobs, so some surges never become deals, as a Gartner Peer Insights reviewer points out.
What Bombora users say
As of October 2026, Bombora Company Surge holds 4.4 out of 5 on G2 from about 157 reviews, read from search listings because G2 blocks direct visits. Capterra has only two reviews, both from 2022, and Trustpilot has none.
G2’s summary says users praise “insightful data and ease of use” and notes “the lack of individual-level data, which can hinder targeted outreach.” Price is the other repeat theme: one G2 reviewer called it “very expensive and too much learning curve compared to other tools like apollo.”
A search tip: most “bombora review” results are about the Crust Bombora gravel bike, so add “intent data” to your search.
Who Bombora is for
Bombora fits B2B companies that sell to a defined list of target accounts, run ads or ABM programs, and have a CRM, ad platform or data lake to feed the signal into.
Look elsewhere if you need names and emails, want a price before a call, or can’t commit to a year. If you already pay for HubSpot, Apollo or Cognism, check which Bombora topics you have before buying it directly. I’d treat a surge as a reason to look at an account and write to the right people about that topic, not as proof they’re ready to buy.
Alternatives to Bombora
- 6sense: intent, visitor matching, predictive buying stages and ABM ads in one platform, and it can add Bombora data; Vendr’s median is near $62,000 a year. See the 6sense profile.
- Demandbase: an ABM platform with its own intent data that can also import Bombora; Vendr’s median is about $69,000 a year. See the Demandbase profile.
- Apollo: a self-serve contact database with intent from Bombora, a free plan and seats from $49 a month billed yearly. See the Apollo profile.
- Cognism: contact and mobile data with Company Surge on its Pro plan, priced by quote. See the Cognism profile.
- Reachkit (our product): the step after Bombora names the accounts. Find people at those companies in Lead Finder and add verified emails at 1 credit each, or import contacts by CSV with each account’s surge topic in a column that becomes a merge tag, then send from inboxes Reachkit sets up and warms. Growth is $39 a month per workspace; no intent data. See pricing.
Bombora: common questions
How much does Bombora cost?
Bombora doesn't publish prices; every deal is quoted after a sales conversation. Vendr's data from 35 purchases puts the median at about $25,000 a year, with deals from about $13,000 to $80,000 (updated February 2026). More topics, API access or ad audiences add to the price, per Vendr. Checked October 2026.
Does Bombora have a free plan or trial?
Not on bombora.com, which offers no free plan, trial or self-serve sign-up as of October 2026. The closest free route is HubSpot: since August 2026 it shows up to 12 Bombora topics on company records with no Bombora account needed, inside HubSpot's per-company tracking cost, which is paid in HubSpot Credits.
How does Bombora work?
Bombora gathers research activity from a co-op of thousands of B2B websites that carry its tag. It compares each company's last three weeks of activity on a topic with that company's own 12-week baseline and flags a Company Surge when research rises. It scores companies, not people.
Is Bombora legit?
Yes. Bombora, Inc. is a New York data company that launched in 2015 out of Madison Logic Data. Forrester named it a Leader in its Q1 2025 Wave for B2B intent data providers, and HubSpot, Apollo and Cognism build its data into their products. G2 users rate it 4.4 out of 5 as of October 2026.
Who are Bombora's main competitors?
For account-level intent, 6sense and Demandbase are the closest: both are ABM platforms with their own intent data, both quote-only, and both can take in Bombora data too. ZoomInfo adds intent on its Copilot tiers. Apollo and Cognism build Bombora data into their own plans.
