Finding Leads with Lead Finder

Lead Finder lets you search a database of over 500 million leads and add verified leads directly to your campaign. Instead of uploading a CSV, you build your ideal audience with filters and we find people matching your criteria, complete with verified email addresses.
How It Works
- Set filters to describe who you’re looking for (job title, seniority, industry, location, etc.)
- Preview a sample of matching results
- Choose how many leads to add to your campaign
- We verify email addresses in the background and add the leads with valid emails
- You get notified by email when the leads are ready
Credits
Lead Finder uses your monthly credits. Each verified lead costs 1 credit. You only pay for leads where we successfully find and verify an email address.
If a lead doesn’t have a verifiable email, that credit is automatically refunded.
Your credits are shown when you’re about to add leads, so you always know the cost before confirming. Credits reset monthly with your billing cycle and don’t roll over.
Using Lead Finder
Step 1: Open Lead Finder
- Go to the Leads tab in your campaign
- Click Add Leads
- Click Find Leads
Step 2: Set Your Filters
The left sidebar has two sections of filters:
Person filters help you target the right individuals:
- Job Title - the person’s current role (e.g. CEO, Head of Marketing, VP Sales)
- Seniority - level in the organization (Founder, C-Suite, VP, Director, Manager, etc.)
- Department - functional area (Engineering, Marketing, Sales, etc.)
- Location - where the person is based (country, city, or region)
- Keywords - terms found in the person’s bio, headline, or skills. You can set both include and exclude keywords.
Company filters narrow down by organization:
- Company Name - search for specific companies
- Industry - the company’s sector (e.g. software development, financial services)
- HQ Location - where the company is headquartered
- Company Size - employee count ranges (1-10, 11-50, 51-200, etc.)
- Technologies - tools and platforms the company uses (e.g. HubSpot, Salesforce)
- Keywords - terms in the company’s name, description, or profile. Include and exclude supported.
For text filters, type your value and press Enter to add it as a tag. You can add multiple values. Click a tag to remove it.
Step 3: Preview Results
Click Find Leads to see a preview of matching contacts. The preview shows some sample results with name, job title, company, location, and industry.
Email addresses are hidden in the preview. They’re only revealed after you add leads to your campaign.
Step 4: Add Leads to Your Campaign
Below the preview, you’ll see the total number of matching leads and your available credits. Enter how many leads you want (up to 10,000 per request) and click the add button.
The process runs in the background. You can continue setting up your campaign sequences, schedule, and other settings while leads are being verified. You’ll receive an email when the leads are ready.
Step 5: Use Your New Leads
Once leads are added, they appear in your campaign’s Leads tab like any other leads. Each lead includes:
- Verified email address
- First and last name
- Company name, title, location, and industry as variables
You can use these in your email sequences with variables like {{Company}}, {{Title}}, or {{LinkedIn}}.
Tips for Better Results
- Be specific with filters. Combining job title + seniority + industry + location gives the best results.
- US and European tech companies tend to have the highest email verification rates.
- Use include keywords to narrow your results to people mentioning specific terms. Use exclude keywords to filter out irrelevant matches.
- Start with a smaller batch to test your filters before adding thousands of leads. You can always run the same search again.
- Check “Skip leads in other campaigns” to avoid contacting the same person from multiple campaigns.
Filters Are Saved in the URL
Your filter settings are saved in the page URL. You can bookmark a search, share it with team members, or come back to it later.
Frequently Asked Questions
What happens if I don’t have enough credits? The add button will be disabled and you’ll see a message. You can reduce the number of leads or wait for your credits to reset at the start of your next billing cycle.
Why did I get fewer leads than I requested? Not every person in the database has a verifiable email address. You only get charged for leads with verified emails. The rest are automatically refunded. Verification rates vary by region and industry, typically between 70-95% for well-targeted searches.
Can I use Lead Finder with any plan? Lead Finder requires credits, which are included with Growth and Scale plans. Trial and free plans don’t include credits.
How long does it take? Small batches (under 100) usually complete in a few minutes. Larger batches can take 5-15 minutes. You’ll get an email notification when your leads are ready.
Are the emails verified? Yes. Every email goes through real-time verification before being added to your campaign. Invalid or undeliverable emails are filtered out automatically.
