Similarweb pricing and review
Similarweb estimates traffic, keywords, ads and AI-search visibility for any website or app, sold as separate product lines with published self-serve plans and quote-only packages for bigger teams.
Similarweb at a glance
Reachkit makes a cold email tool, not a web analytics tool, so it only overlaps with Similarweb where Similarweb’s Sales Intelligence builds prospect lists. Every price here was checked on October 15, 2026 against Similarweb’s own package pages, in US dollars.

Similarweb pricing
Similarweb pricing runs from $99 to $649 a month on self-serve plans, and everything bigger is priced by sales. Each product line has its own packages; the table shows published US prices as of October 15, 2026, from the Web, AI Search and Sales package pages.
| Plan | Product line | Billed yearly, per month | Billed monthly |
|---|---|---|---|
| AEO Intelligence | AI Search | $99 | $129 |
| Individual | Sales Intelligence | $99 | $129 |
| Competitive Intelligence | Web | $125 | $199 |
| Competitive Intel & SEO & AEO | Web, AI Search | $333 | $399 |
| Competitive Intel, SEO & AEO & Ads | Web, AI Search | $542 | $649 |
The Web Intelligence page sells the same two bundles as the AI Search page, at the same prices. AEO is about how a brand shows up in AI answers.
What the self-serve plans include. Every self-serve card lists one user. The entry plans show 3 months of history and the two bundles 6 months, and the AEO plans track 150 AI prompts. Sales Individual comes with 1,000 data credits, which pay for contact details.
Above self-serve. Business and Enterprise packages are “Talk to sales”. They add up to 37 months of data and more users. The API is sold in those packages or on its own, also by quote. Vendr reports a median buyer paying $37,800 a year on these contracts (February 2026).
What a typical setup costs. One marketer who wants competitor traffic plus keyword research lands on the $333 bundle: $3,996 a year billed yearly, or $4,788 over twelve months billed monthly. A second person needs a custom package, since we found no price for adding a seat.
What Similarweb does
Similarweb turns a domain, app or industry into estimated visits, traffic sources, top pages, keywords, ads and audience data. Newer modules track how often AI chatbots like ChatGPT and Perplexity mention a brand.
The numbers are estimates, modeled from four inputs Similarweb lists on its data page: analytics accounts that site owners connect, anonymous traffic from Similarweb products installed on millions of devices (its browser extension among them), public data, and partners such as ISPs. It claims coverage of 100M+ websites and publishes no error rates.
For outbound, the relevant piece is Sales Intelligence: filter companies by traffic and technology signals, then reveal contact details with credits. It doesn’t send email. The API and an official MCP server, a standard way for AI assistants like Claude to use other apps, serve the same data, but only on API-only, Business or Enterprise plans.
Similarweb strengths and drawbacks
Strengths
- Many data types per domain. Traffic, channels, keywords, ads, apps and AI visibility sit in one product, and G2’s review summary praises the data insights.
- Closest of the estimators on big sites. In SparkToro’s test of 641 sites, Similarweb landed within 30% of Google Analytics 62.9% of the time for sites with 250,000+ monthly users (summary).
- Prices you can see. Self-serve plans are published, and you cancel inside the app, keeping access until the billing period ends (FAQ).
- A useful free layer. The free Chrome extension holds 4.6 stars from 3.8K ratings, and similarweb.com shows sample data for free.
Drawbacks
- Weak on small sites. In the same SparkToro test, estimates for sites under 5,000 users were within 30% only 5.8% of the time, and Promodo’s test also lists sites under 5,000 visits a month as a weak spot.
- Thin self-serve plans. One user and 3 to 6 months of history; 37 months and API or MCP access mean a sales call.
- Trial billing. Many one-star Trustpilot reviews describe being charged after a free trial or struggling to cancel.
What Similarweb users say
Similarweb holds 4.4 out of 5 on G2 from over 1,100 reviews and 4.6 on Capterra from 261, where value for money scores lowest at 4.2 (October 2026, read from search listings). G2 owns Capterra and shares reviews with it, so the two overlap. A G2 review title sums up the trade: “User-Friendly Analytics, But Pricey with Limited Credits”.
Trustpilot shows 4.5 from about 800 reviews, but it’s a split picture: 72% five stars and 19% one star. Many one-star reviews describe trials that turned into charges, or cancelling that didn’t work, and Similarweb replies to some of them.
Who Similarweb is for
Similarweb fits marketers, SEO teams and analysts comparing sites and markets, and sales teams that pick accounts by traffic or technology signals.
Look elsewhere for exact visit counts on small sites, several users on a small budget, or mostly contact emails. If you use traffic as a cold email signal, I’d use it to rank accounts against each other, not quote a visitor number in the first line of an email.
Alternatives to Similarweb

Similarweb: common questions
How much does Similarweb cost?
Similarweb's self-serve plans cost $99 to $542 a month billed yearly, or $129 to $649 billed monthly, in US prices as of October 2026. Web Intelligence starts at $125 a month billed yearly. Each covers one user. Bigger packages are quote-only; Vendr reports a median of $37,800 a year for those contracts.
Is Similarweb free?
Partly. Website pages on similarweb.com, the Chrome extension and a few small tools show limited data for free, which Similarweb calls a high-level sample. The full platform is paid. Similarweb's 2024 guide describes a 7-day trial that asks for a card and turns into a paid plan unless you cancel.
Is Similarweb legit?
Yes. Similarweb is a public company listed on the NYSE as SMWB, and it passed $300 million in annual recurring revenue in June 2026. It holds 4.4 on G2 and 4.6 on Capterra as of October 2026. Its traffic figures are estimates, most reliable for large sites.
Is Similarweb an Israeli company?
Similarweb was founded in Tel Aviv in 2007 by Or Offer and has offices in Tel Aviv and New York. Offer is stepping down as CEO, and Michael Akkerman takes over on November 2, 2026, leading from the New York office.
Is Similarweb better than Semrush?
They lean different ways. Similarweb covers traffic, channels, apps, ads and AI visibility for any domain, while Semrush is built around SEO and keyword data. In SparkToro's accuracy test, Semrush's traffic estimates correlated more closely with Google Analytics overall, though they cover only organic search, while Similarweb did best on sites above 5,000 monthly users.
Is there a free alternative to Similarweb?
The closest free option is Similarweb's own free layer: the Chrome extension and the website pages on similarweb.com show top-line traffic for any domain at no cost. If you mainly want company and contact lists, Apollo and Lusha have free plans.
