Outscraper pricing and review
Outscraper is a pay-as-you-go scraping platform that pulls business listings from Google Maps and other sites, with email finding, verification and phone checks billed as separate services.
Outscraper at a glance
Reachkit makes a competing cold email tool with its own lead database, though not a scraper. Every price here was checked on October 15, 2026 against Outscraper’s own pricing page, service pages, FAQ and terms.

Outscraper pricing
Outscraper pricing has no plans and no monthly fee: each service is billed per 1,000 records after a free allowance, and tiers reset every 30 days. Figures from outscraper.com/pricing and the service pages, checked October 15, 2026.
| Service | Free every 30 days | Then, per 1,000 | High volume, per 1,000 |
|---|---|---|---|
| Google Maps Scraper | 500 businesses | $3 (up to 100,000) | $1 above 100,000 |
| Emails & Contacts Scraper | 500 domains | $3 (up to 100,000) | $1 above 100,000 |
| Email Verifier | 25 emails | $3 (up to 100,000) | $1 above 100,000 |
| Phone Enricher | 25 phones | $5 (up to 50,000) | $3 above 50,000 |
Services stack. A Maps scrape returns each business’s phone and website but no email. Finding emails, verifying them and checking phones are separate line items, and extras such as Company Insights carry their own prices.
How billing works. You prepay credits, which never expire, or connect a card and get billed past the free tier. A balance doesn’t stop a job: per Outscraper’s FAQ, if a task costs more than your credits, “you will simply receive an invoice with the outstanding usage”. You control spend with a limit on each task. The pricing page promises a full refund within 3 days of purchase if the tools fail to retrieve data; otherwise the terms call purchases final.
What a list really costs (my math, list prices, one 30-day period). 5,000 Maps businesses: 4,500 billable at $3 per 1,000 is $13.50. Searching 3,500 of their websites for emails adds up to $9.00, and verifying 3,000 found emails adds $8.93. That’s about $31. Google Maps shows only 400 to 500 places per search, so 5,000 takes many queries.
What Outscraper does
Outscraper collects public business data and hands it back as a spreadsheet or through an API. In the web app you pick categories and locations, set filters and start the scrape. Jobs run on Outscraper’s servers, and results export as CSV, Excel, Parquet or JSON.
A Google Maps result carries the name, category, phone, website, address, rating, review count, opening hours and more. The Emails & Contacts Scraper then searches those websites and other sources such as Facebook and LinkedIn, adding emails, phones and social profiles.
The same account also scrapes reviews from Google, Yelp, Trustpilot and Tripadvisor, Google Search results and Amazon. Developers get a REST API, SDKs in six languages, an n8n node, Zapier and an official MCP server, a standard way for AI assistants like Claude to use other apps. Outscraper doesn’t send email.
Outscraper strengths and drawbacks
Strengths
- Low, public unit prices. $3 per 1,000 Maps businesses after 500 free, unchanged in sources from 2024 to 2026 (Google Maps Scraper).
- No subscription. You pay in the months you scrape, and prepaid credits never expire (pricing explained).
- Breadth. Maps, review sites, Google Search and marketplaces on one balance.
- Easy to automate. The MCP server exposes 26 tools, Maps search and email finding among them, with a hosted version for Claude.
- Responsive support. Trustpilot’s review summary praises quick, patient support.
Drawbacks
- Your balance isn’t a spending cap. Jobs finish and the overage is invoiced (FAQ). Surprise invoices recur in Outscraper’s 1-star Trustpilot reviews.
- The headline price covers listings only. “I have scraped a few thousand leads and been charged about 100$,” a user wrote on Outscraper’s forum; the reply said enrichments cost extra and show their price when selected (thread).
- Raw results need cleaning. Two 1-star reviewers in 2026 said only a small share of rows were unique and usable. Outscraper answered one by pointing to its filters.
- The free tier may need a deposit. Outscraper says new users can be asked for $10 first (thread).
What Outscraper users say
Outscraper rates 4.6 out of 5 on Trustpilot from 330 reviews, checked October 15, 2026: 89% five stars and 7% one star.
The praise centers on support and ease of use. One October 2026 reviewer called the Google Maps Scraper “reliable, easy to use”. The complaints cluster around slow or missed support and billing after credits run out: “Once the credits are consumed, they charge all additional usage at the end of the month,” a June 2026 review reads. Outscraper replied to 19 of the 20 one-star reviews on the first page.
G2 has only four or five reviews, and its pages disagree: 4.9 on one, 3.9 on another, per search results.
Who Outscraper is for
Outscraper fits people who sell to local businesses and want listings by category and place, now and then, at a low unit price. It also suits developers who want Maps data behind an API without running scrapers.
Look elsewhere if you need named decision makers by job title, because a Maps listing describes the business, not who buys there. And if your bill must stay under a set amount, note that Outscraper’s pages describe limits per task, not an account-wide spending cap.
For cold email, treat the scrape as raw material. The list is most of the result, so dedupe, filter and verify before anything reaches a sending inbox. More in lead scraping for cold email.
Alternatives to Outscraper
- SerpApi: a live search API with a Google Maps endpoint, billed by monthly plan: 250 searches free, then Starter at $25 a month for 1,000. See the SerpApi profile.
- Apollo: a people and company database with a Google Maps search and email sequences inside, on a free plan or Basic at $65 per seat monthly. See the Apollo profile.
- Hunter: finds and checks emails for a company’s domain, the step that follows a Maps scrape; free plan, Starter $49 a month. See the Hunter profile.
- Clay: sends each row of a list through many data providers to fill in contacts; free plan, Launch $185 a month. See the Clay profile.
- Reachkit (our product): for emailing the list once you have it. Import an Outscraper CSV and Reachkit verifies the addresses on the way in (1 credit per 10), turns extra columns like category or rating into merge tags, and sends from inboxes it can set up and warm for you. Its Lead Finder searches 500M+ people and 70M+ companies, but it doesn’t scrape Google Maps.
Outscraper: common questions
Is Outscraper legit?
Yes. Outscraper is a paid data service with published prices, SDKs on GitHub and a 4.6 Trustpilot rating from 330 reviews, checked October 2026. The recurring complaint is billing: usage past your prepaid credits is invoiced rather than stopped, which is how Outscraper's own FAQ describes it.
How much does Outscraper cost?
Outscraper charges per 1,000 records with no subscription. The Google Maps Scraper is free for the first 500 businesses every 30 days, then $3 per 1,000, and $1 per 1,000 above 100,000. Email finding and verification cost $3 per 1,000 each. At those rates, 10,000 businesses cost $28.50. Checked October 2026.
Is there a free version of Outscraper?
There's no free plan, but the main services each have a free allowance every 30 days: 500 Google Maps businesses, 500 domains searched for emails and 25 email verifications. Outscraper may ask new accounts for a $10 deposit first. Anything past the allowance is billed, even with an empty credit balance.
Is Outscraper legal?
Outscraper's FAQ says scraping public data is protected by the First Amendment and doesn't violate the US Computer Fraud and Abuse Act, and tells users to ask an attorney about their own case. Its terms bar unlawful use and make customers cover any claims that result. Legality depends on what you collect, where and why. This isn't legal advice.
Outscraper vs Apollo: which is better for cold email lists?
They answer different questions. Outscraper finds local businesses on Google Maps and the emails on their websites, paid per 1,000 records. Apollo is a people and company database searchable by job title, with sequences, from a free plan or $65 per seat monthly. For named B2B buyers, a database such as Apollo or Reachkit's Lead Finder fits better.
