Explorium pricing and review
Explorium (explorium.ai) sells B2B company and contact data through an API and an MCP server built for AI agents, paid for with one-time credit packs instead of a subscription.
Explorium at a glance
Disclosure: Reachkit makes cold email software with a built-in lead finder, so it competes with Explorium for some buyers. Every Explorium price below was checked in October 2026 against Explorium’s own pricing pages and developer docs.

Explorium pricing
Explorium pricing starts at $29.99 for a one-time pack of 500 credits, with no monthly plan to cancel. Prices are from explorium.ai/pricing, in USD, as of October 2026.
| Pack | Price | Credits | Per credit |
|---|---|---|---|
| Free trial | $0 | 100 | |
| Lite | $29.99 | 500 | $0.06 |
| Starter | $149.99 | 5,000 | $0.03 |
| Growth | $749.99 | 30,000 | $0.025 |
| Scale | $7,499.99 | 500,000 | $0.015 |
Every pack unlocks the same data; only the credit count changes. Enterprise is quoted by sales and adds volume discounts, resell rights and custom CRM integrations.
What a credit buys. Each company or person a search returns costs 1 credit (2 with an intent-topic filter). A work email costs 2 more, a phone number 5, and both together 5 (contact docs). Other enrichments cost 1 to 5 credits, and audience counts are free.
Terms. Credits last 12 months (trial credits 90 days) and don’t roll over. Packs are non-refundable and don’t renew, and the service stops at zero until you buy more.
A second price list. Vibe Prospecting, Explorium’s prospecting tool for AI chats like Claude and ChatGPT, has its own packs: 200 free credits a month, then $29.90 for 900 up to $649.99 for 30,000 (paid packs work in Claude only). Older figures still circulate, such as $200 for 5,000 in an Explorium blog post from May 2026; the pricing page is the current list.
What a typical setup costs: a prospect with a work email is 3 credits. Finding 1,500 prospects a month takes 54,000 credits a year, so two Growth packs ($1,499.98, about $125 a month) cover it, the second bought around month seven when the first runs out. That’s about $0.083 per prospect, with 6,000 credits left over. That’s my math from list prices, and a sending tool is extra.
What Explorium does
Explorium is a B2B data provider that hands company and contact records to software and AI agents rather than to a person browsing a list. It began as a data science platform and relaunched around AgentSource, its data API, in March 2025.
You fetch businesses or prospects with filters such as industry, size, location or title, then enrich only the IDs you keep: firmographics, technographics, funding, workforce or contact details. Business events and intent signals come on top. The v2 API lists 16 business and 3 prospect enrichments, each as an instant call or a batch job.
Explorium’s homepage gives two sets of figures: 146M+ businesses and 767M+ professional profiles in one spot, 150M+ companies and 800M+ people in another. Its privacy policy says the data comes from public sources and third-party providers. Emails come back marked valid, catch-all or invalid.
MCP, a standard way for AI assistants like Claude and ChatGPT to use other apps, is central to the product: Explorium hosts an MCP server and lists n8n, Clay and Claude Code integrations. Vibe Prospecting previews results for free and exports nothing until you approve the cost. Explorium doesn’t send email.
Explorium strengths and drawbacks
Strengths
- Prices on the page, no sales call. Four paid packs and a free trial, all public, paid by card or invoice, with no seats (credit plans docs).
- You pay for the fields you want. Counts are free and a phone (5 credits) is billed apart from an email (2).
- Built for agents. A hosted MCP server, batch endpoints, webhooks and n8n templates let an agent find and enrich accounts on its own.
- Company depth. Sixteen business enrichments plus events and intent topics give an agent more than a contact list.
Drawbacks
- Credits have a clock. They expire after 12 months, aren’t refundable, and auto-pay isn’t live yet. Ten Growth packs cost about what one Scale pack does and give 300,000 credits, so Scale’s $0.015 rate only wins above that within a year.
- No sending. A sequencer, inboxes and reply handling come from other tools.
- Prices are easy to misread. Two price lists, enrichments priced as a range, and older lineups still quoted around the web.
- Needs some building. Outside Vibe Prospecting you work through the API, MCP, n8n or Clay; Salesforce and HubSpot connect through n8n templates or a custom setup from Explorium.
What Explorium users say
Explorium has few buyer reviews, and a search for “explorium review” mostly returns pages about Ireland’s national science centre of the same name. As of October 2026, G2 shows 4.6 out of 5 from 28 reviews (G2’s pricing page says 4.5) and Capterra 4.9 from 21. Both are small samples.
Praise centers on firmographic coverage and cost. One G2 reviewer said Explorium cut “our costs in half compared to our previous provider.” Salesforge, which sells competing data, says in its review roundup that data “can be mismatched or outdated depending on the source”.
Trustpilot shows 1.7 from 33 reviews, mostly from people who got Explorium’s notice that it processes business data about them, not from customers.
Who Explorium is for
Explorium fits GTM engineers, developers and RevOps teams building their own pipelines: an agent that researches accounts, an n8n flow that enriches signups, a Clay table that needs company signals. It suits buyers who’d rather pay once and spend credits within a year.
Look elsewhere if you want to export and email a list this week without building anything, or if you buy small amounts now and then. If I were feeding Explorium contacts into cold email, I’d buy only the work email, send to addresses marked valid, and check catch-all ones separately.
Alternatives to Explorium
- Clay: a table that runs many data providers side by side, Explorium among them, with a free plan and Launch at $185 a month. See Reachkit vs Clay.
- People Data Labs: a developer API for person and company records, billed per match, with a free plan and Pro from $98 a month. See the People Data Labs profile.
- ZoomInfo: contract data sold through sales, plus a pay-as-you-go GTM.AI API and MCP at $0.45 down to $0.25 a record. See the ZoomInfo profile.
- Apollo: a contact database with sequences and an MCP server on every plan, including Free; Basic is $49 per seat a month billed yearly. See the Apollo profile.
- Reachkit (our product): a cold email platform, not a data API for agents. If you’re buying Explorium contacts to email them, Reachkit’s Lead Finder searches 500M+ profiles, verifies emails before leads join a campaign at 1 credit per verified lead, and sends from inboxes it can set up and warm for you. Growth is $39/mo with 1,000 credits.
Explorium: common questions
What does Explorium do?
Explorium, at explorium.ai, sells B2B data for AI agents and sales teams. Its API and MCP server let software find companies and people, then add firmographics, funding, events, work emails or phone numbers. Vibe Prospecting does the same inside AI chats like Claude and ChatGPT. Explorium doesn't send emails.
Is Explorium legit?
Yes. Explorium Ltd. is a B2B data company in Tel Aviv that raised a $75 million Series C led by Insight Partners in 2021. It holds 4.6 on G2 from 28 reviews as of October 2026. Its low Trustpilot score mostly comes from people objecting to its data-processing notices, not customers.
How much does Explorium cost?
Explorium sells one-time credit packs: $29.99 for 500 credits, $149.99 for 5,000, $749.99 for 30,000 and $7,499.99 for 500,000, with Enterprise quoted. A prospect with a work email costs 3 credits. Credits last 12 months and packs don't renew. Prices checked October 2026.
Does Explorium have a free plan?
Not for the API, which has a free trial of 100 credits valid for 90 days. Vibe Prospecting, Explorium's tool for AI chats, has a free tier of 200 credits a month that don't roll over. Both checked on Explorium's pricing pages in October 2026.
Can you send cold email with Explorium?
No. Explorium supplies data and leaves sending to other tools, so you export or push records into a sender. If the goal is emailing prospects, Reachkit finds verified contacts with its built-in Lead Finder and sends from warmed inboxes in one place, with a 30-day free trial.
Explorium vs Clay: which should I use?
They can work together: Clay runs many data providers in one table, and Explorium's company enrichments are among them. Clay has a free plan and Launch at $185 a month. Buy Explorium directly for its data through an API or MCP on one-time packs; pick Clay to mix providers without code.
Buying contact data to send cold email?
Reachkit finds verified leads with its Lead Finder, sets up and warms Google or Microsoft inboxes for you, and sends the campaign. Start a 30-day free trial, no card needed.
