How to Configure Warmup in Reachkit
Inbox Warmup
Warmup is enabled automatically the moment you connect a new inbox, so there’s nothing to switch on. This guide covers how to verify it’s running, adjust the settings, and pause it if you need to.
Verifying Warmup Is Running
- Navigate to the Inboxes section in the left sidebar
- The Warming Status column will show “Warming” once an inbox is connected and verified
- Open the inbox to see the live ramp-up, daily activity, and health score
Configuring Your Warmup Settings
To access and modify warmup settings:
- While viewing your inbox, click the Settings tab
- Scroll to the Warmup Settings section
- Here you can adjust the following parameters:
Available Warmup Settings
| Setting | Default | Description |
|---|---|---|
| Daily warmup limit | 10 | Maximum number of warmup emails sent per day |
| Increase per day | 1 | How many additional emails to add each day |
| Reply rate target % | 30 | Target percentage of warmup emails that receive replies |
Understanding the Warmup Dashboard
To monitor your warmup progress:
- Select your inbox from the Inboxes section
- The Overview tab shows your warmup performance
-
Key metrics include:
- Health Score: Overall assessment of your inbox reputation
- Emails Sent: Total warmup emails sent
- Spam Rate: Percentage of emails that landed in spam
- Ramp-up Progress: Progress toward your daily sending limit
The Ramp-up Bar Explained
The ramp-up progress bar shows how far you’ve progressed toward your configured daily warmup limit. This is determined by:
- Your daily increase setting
- How long the inbox has been warming
- Your maximum daily limit
Important Note: The ramp-up progress is not the same as overall warmup progress. It simply shows progress toward your daily sending limit goal.
Best Practices for Warmup Success
- Be Patient: Allow at least 3 weeks of warmup before sending actual cold emails
- Start Slow: The default settings work well for most users
- Keep It Consistent: Don’t pause warmup during weekends or holidays
- Monitor Health Score: A declining score may indicate adjustments are needed
When to Modify Default Settings
Consider adjusting your default settings if:
- You’re warming up an older, established account (faster ramp-up possible)
- You notice declining health scores (slower ramp-up recommended)
Remember that warmup is an ongoing process. Even after you begin sending campaigns, keeping warmup running helps maintain your sender reputation over time.
