This guide explains how to add contacts to your Reachkit campaigns using CSV imports or manual entry.
Two Ways to Add Leads
You can add leads to your campaign through:
- CSV Import - for adding multiple leads at once
- Manual Entry - for adding individual leads
Method 1: Importing Leads with CSV
Step 1: Prepare Your File
- Save your contacts as a CSV file
- Include a header row (column names)
- Make sure you have an email column
Step 2: Upload Your File
- Go to the Leads tab in your campaign
- Click Add Leads
- Click Import from CSV
- Upload your CSV file
Step 3: Map Your Columns
-
For each column, choose what it contains:
- Email (required)
- First Name
- Last Name
- Company
- Phone
- Website
- Custom Variable (for any other information)
- Do Not Import (for columns you don’t need)
Step 4: Complete the Import
- Click Import Leads
- Reachkit will check for valid emails
- You’ll see how many valid and invalid leads were found
- Click Import Leads again to confirm
Method 2: Adding Leads Manually
For adding one lead at a time:
- Go to the Leads tab in your campaign
- Click Add Leads
- Click Add Manually
- Enter leads one per line
- Click Import Leads
Note: When adding leads manually, you can only enter email addresses and full names (which will automatically be parsed into first and last names), unlike CSV imports which support additional fields and custom variables.
Using Lead Information in Your Emails
- Use double curly braces to insert lead information in your emails
-
Examples:
{{first_name}}
,{{company}}
,{{custom_field}}
-
Both
{{first_name}}
and{{First Name}}
formats work
Tips for Better Results
- Make sure your lead information is accurate
- Use clear names for custom fields
- Remove any duplicate emails before importing
