Connecting Gmail to Reachkit

Inbox Setup

This guide covers how to connect your Gmail or Google Workspace account to Reachkit.

For Personal Gmail Accounts

Personal Gmail (@gmail.com) accounts connect with an App Password. IMAP is always on for Gmail, so there is nothing to enable first.

  1. Set up App Password

    • Enable 2-Step Verification in your Google Account
    • Go to App Passwords
    • Select “Mail” as app and “Other” as device
    • Name it “Reachkit”
    • Copy the 16-character password
  2. Connect in Reachkit

    • Choose “App Password” option
    • Enter your Gmail address
    • Paste the 16-character App Password
    • Click “Connect”

For Google Workspace Accounts

Google Workspace accounts connect with OAuth. App Passwords are not an option here: Google discontinued IMAP and App Password sign-in for Workspace accounts in 2025, so OAuth is the only supported method.

  1. Administrator Setup

    • In your Google Workspace Admin console, navigate to “Security” > “Access and data control” > “API Control” > “Manage third-party app access”
    • Click “Configure new app”
    • Search for Reachkit using this Client ID: 677659407288-qa75fegbors3dhkt0na910ma0bqkoo51.apps.googleusercontent.com
    • Approve Reachkit and grant necessary permissions
  2. Connect in Reachkit

    • Choose “OAuth” option
    • Click “Connect with Google”
    • Sign in with your Workspace account
    • Accept the permissions

Troubleshooting

  • For App Password issues (personal Gmail), generate a new one
  • For OAuth issues (Workspace), ensure the Reachkit app is approved in your Admin console
