Choosing the Right Inbox Setup
Inbox Setup
Selecting the right inbox setup method is an important first step in your cold email outreach. Reachkit offers two main options: purchasing domains and inboxes directly through us, or connecting your existing email accounts.
Option 1: Done-For-You Setup (Buy Through Reachkit)
You can purchase domains and set up email inboxes directly through Reachkit. This is the easiest option if you’re starting fresh or want to expand your sending infrastructure without dealing with domain registrars and email providers yourself.
What You Get
- Secondary domains (to protect your main domain’s reputation)
- Email inboxes on those domains (Google or Microsoft)
- Full DNS and email configuration handled by Reachkit
- Domain forwarding to your primary website
- Inboxes automatically connected and ready to warm up
How It Works
- Select Done-For-You when adding inboxes
- Enter your primary domain (e.g., yourcompany.com)
- Reachkit suggests available secondary domains - select the ones you want
- Choose how many inboxes per domain
- Pick names for your senders and upload profile pictures
- Set up domain forwarding (optional)
- Choose Google or Microsoft for each domain’s inboxes
- Complete checkout
After checkout, your inboxes appear immediately in the dashboard with a “Pending Setup” status. You can configure inbox settings right away while Reachkit sets up the domains, DNS records, and email accounts in the background. Once setup completes, your inboxes are ready to start warming.
Pricing
Domains are billed annually. Inboxes are billed monthly. You’ll see the exact pricing at checkout based on your selections.
Option 2: Connect Your Own Inboxes
If you already have email accounts or prefer to set them up yourself through a domain registrar or inbox reseller, you can connect them directly to Reachkit.
Google & Microsoft (OAuth)
Connect Gmail, Google Workspace, Outlook, Office 365, or Exchange accounts using secure OAuth authentication.
Advantages:
- Use existing accounts with established reputation
- Simple connection process
IMAP/SMTP
Connect email accounts from any provider that supports IMAP and SMTP.
Advantages:
- Works with virtually any email provider
- Complete flexibility in provider selection
Which Option Should You Choose?
Choose Done-For-You if:
- You’re starting fresh with cold email
- You want the fastest, simplest setup
- You don’t want to deal with DNS, domain registrars, or email provider configuration
- You need to scale up your sending infrastructure quickly
Choose Self-Connection if:
- You already have email accounts ready to use
- You have a preferred domain registrar or inbox provider
- You want full control over your email infrastructure
- You’re working with existing company email accounts
Recommendation for Beginners
If you’re new to cold email, Done-For-You is the easiest path. You’ll have properly configured domains and inboxes without needing to understand DNS records or email authentication setup.
Whichever option you choose, make sure to enable warmup and let your inboxes warm for at least 3 weeks before launching campaigns.
